I am sure this has happened to most people, but it still puzzles me a bit. The other day on my facebook page a young model of 23 wanted to become friends,no problem so far,but as I talked with her,she showed me a picture of her in a beautiful dress. Now I am 68 years of age which I told her,she said age is just a number. Next the temptation! Do I lead her on? Do I turn on my charm? I wanted to!!! But as I thought of how I should proceed, something inside of me turned sour. And in my Spirit I heard, remember many years ago when you did this and how it turned out?? So I told her her that I am a devoted believer, and I cannot lead you astray.
But I really like you she said,Yea well you like a lion to until your stuck in the cage with him. It was very kind of you to show your love for someone you do not even know, but I cannot go on,if you need some spiritual leading I will sure help you in this way. Then unfriended her. She then wrote me back the next day saying again but I really like you!! This sounds as though it was very simple to do,I am 68! But she was very hurt by my action. And for some reason I felt guilty as if I was offered someone special and left it on the road. Better cut this off before it gets out of hand I thought.
Sometimes doing the right things can make one feel as bad as well as doing the wrong thing .Romans 8 came to my mind at this point ( Romans 8:1-15) I just wonder if Jesus himself knew he did the right thing, but caused another to suffer because of it? Your thoughts would be welcomed brothers and sisters!! Thanks in advance for caring!
