I am sure this has happened to most people, but it still puzzles me a bit. The other day on my facebook page a young model of 23 wanted to become friends,no problem so far,but as I talked with her,she showed me a picture of her in a beautiful dress. Now I am 68 years of age which I told her,she said age is just a number. Next the temptation! Do I lead her on? Do I turn on my charm? I wanted to!!! But as I thought of how I should proceed, something inside of me turned sour. And in my Spirit I heard, remember many years ago when you did this and how it turned out?? So I told her her that I am a devoted believer, and I cannot lead you astray.

But I really like you she said,Yea well you like a lion to until your stuck in the cage with him. It was very kind of you to show your love for someone you do not even know, but I cannot go on,if you need some spiritual leading I will sure help you in this way. Then unfriended her. She then wrote me back the next day saying again but I really like you!! This sounds as though it was very simple to do,I am 68! But she was very hurt by my action. And for some reason I felt guilty as if I was offered someone special and left it on the road. Better cut this off before it gets out of hand I thought.

Sometimes doing the right things can make one feel as bad as well as doing the wrong thing .Romans 8 came to my mind at this point ( Romans 8:1-15) I just wonder if Jesus himself knew he did the right thing, but caused another to suffer because of it? Your thoughts would be welcomed brothers and sisters!! Thanks in advance for caring!

Remember the story of the prince in search of a bride? The prince wanted a woman that wanted him, not for his riches or his royalty, but for better or worse, etc. So he set out as a commoner, dressed in common garb, living among common folk, and all the while kept his true identity hidden until he found his true love.

Deceitful men and women work to deceive, and their ability to do so rests in, among other things their looks, thier charm, and their knowledge that they have something their target desires.

The picture could very well not even be the person you chat with. Its a very common scam, women you dont even know, dress scantilly, on some social media, want to be your friend. I often get these requests. The first thing I ask, before I accept any friend request on FB, is "How do you know me? And although its nice to want to be my friend, why would you even be interested in me? Do you like the things I post? And I am happily married."

Sometimes they never reply. Sometimes they try to keep you on the hook, looking to get you interested in their picture and their sweet talking, you will note they dont have much info on their bio's, and any friends they already have are 90-100% guys. Its always a trap in this case.

Nice idea Brad! But Love believes all things, Remember?? LOL( 1 Cor 13:7) Never understood that part myself bro!! She did not dress badly she is a model, not a stripper, those I know, because I check the person before making them a friend,I look at there facebook to see. Which I did with her,I was to be her first friend because nothing was on it except her pretty face. But here she seemed like just a nice, though very easy lead girl. I did ask,she said are you ready for this?? That facebook itself recomended me?? I love grace!!

Thanks JerryfromMas I am not looking though. My dating days are over,it would take an act of God for me to do that again!! LOL

Time flies, I am sure you still feel 23 and then look in the mirror when you see someone else your age.

I am experiencing this right now :mask:.

The older one gets the more oblivious they are of their age. The millenials however, having only been on the earth for a few years, are fully aware of every year in the age gap.

As such, I see this 23 year old as either having father issues growing up or trolling you.

If you are looking for a relationship, you need to face the reality of your age and only take ladies your age or maybe 40 + seriously.

There is a concentrated move to entrap people these days. Especially conservative Christians.
Usually this happens right after you make a conservative remark on some social media.

There will be a young, attractive woman who wants to be your friend. Especially if you are married, or say you are a Christian.
Then once they pull you in, they black mail you, threaten to share your texts to the public, to your wife, or to your Christian friends.

I wonder how many Christian voices have been silenced by this? I wonder how many Christian witnesses have been ruined by this?

Amen, this is what it will be probably at least half the time.

If you were polite and respectful toward a young woman 45 years your junior I'd say you did the right thing.

She on the other hand doesn't appear to be able to say she did.

That's a very odd thing she was doing on your FB page. You're old enough to be her grandfather and she's flirting with you.
