You know the saying, 'One plants and another harvests.' And it's true. I sent you to harvest where you didn't plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest." John 4:37-38 NLT
As a born-again believer, you should have a heart for winning souls for Jesus. The Bible teaches that you can do that by loving, serving, and speaking the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
But what if you’ve done all those things but haven’t seen any results? What if you haven’t seen anything in the way of a “harvest”? Well, don’t be discouraged.
When you take the time to tell someone about Jesus, don’t believe that you’ve failed just because you don’t see an immediate conversion. Instead, take heart…and continue to faithfully and consistently speak the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ—and don’t forget to pray, because you can’t know for sure what God is doing in the heart of a man who doesn’t yet know Jesus.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I want to bring people to You. Please give me the opportunities to speak Your name and message to those who need to hear it. Remind me, as You did Your followers, that it’s not my job to convert anyone. My responsibility is simply to love others and tell them about You, even though I may not see the end results of doing so.
