Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature - All things are become new 2 Cor 8:17

This poem is for anyone who has been saved or restored to the Lord from a life caught up in drugs and alcohol

I once was held in satan's grip
A wretch a slave to sin
I never really cared a hoot about
The danger I was in
My head, my heart were blinded
Made numb by drugs and wine
How satan must have rejoiced
Thinking child, you are mine

I always thought I could never get by
Without supplies of wine and drugs to make me high
But I constantly heard the voice of my Saviour
Calling me back home
And when I stopped resisting, I fell
Stripped to nothing before His throne
He refreshed me with the Water of Life
And His love caused highs I'd never known

satan had me in his grip
Precious Jesus you set me free
And now dear, dear Lord, my heart
My soul, my life
My ALL for only Thee

Praise Jesus for His saving grace and His power to restore the lost and backslidden back to His arms of love away from the grip of satan.

Unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood...to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever Rev 1:5,6

Your love for Jesus you carry before you as a banner none are righteous..... that is not an excuse to not desire to be like Him .. this scripture came to mind Luke 7:47
