Fathers and Family

Hey Everyone!!!,
I just wanted to wish all the Dads here at Talk Jesus A VERY HAPPY FATHER's DAY!!! May God richly bless you and may your family be near you on this very special day!!!

To whoever might read this-- Cherish the time you have with your Father. It very well could be the last.... "We have no Promise of tomorrow." I know I lost my Father 3 years ago unexpectally. But through a wonderful close friend, I have finally learned to rejoice in his homegoing. For he will be celebrating Father's day in Heaven with his earthly father and His Heavenly Father also..... How AWESOME is that??? It kinda makes me jealous also, LOL

So I encourage you all this Sunday to spend a little extra time with your earthly father, show him you care, love him, cherish him, and don't take him for granted. Also spend some extra time with your Heavenly Father, show him how much you love Him, care for him, cherish Him also, and don't take him for granted either.....

Hi Jenn,

This will be my first "Father's Day" without my dad...my eyes well with tears as I think of it. I will miss looking for that special "humorous" card for him. My dad was such a special guy...never without love and concern for anyone who might come by or whom he might meet. His "homegoing" was such a great experience for my brothers, sister, and myself; however, he is greatly missed. God proved HIS grace to be sufficient in our time of need and has helped us with the loneliness. I thank God for the 88 years HE gave my dad. He made a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him. He was a great Christian and was ready to go be with HIS Heavenly Father and his loved ones gone on before him. He was able to share with us some of the sights that were awaiting him; it was so amazing. The angels of the LORD were encamped in his hospital room until they carried him home. A Christian's death is a blessed experience.

Please, as Jenn said, spend as much time with your dad as possible while you have him with you. Enjoy the day, think and pray for those whose dads have gone on.
Thank God for your dads, love and honor them, but more than anything spend time with them. You'll never regret it!!!

HEAVENLY FATHER, THANK YOU FOR THE DADS WHO HAVE LOVED US, WORKED HARD FOR US AS A FAMILY, AND BEEN GOOD EXAMPLES FOR US TO FOLLOW. BLESS THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES; GIVE THEM YOUR WISDOM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES THEY TOUCH. STRENTHEN AND ENCOURAGE THEM WHEN THINGS OF THE WORLD TRY TO BEAT THEM DOWN. Thank you God for all the wonderful Fathers. Thank you for mine, Thank you God for being the THE GREATEST FATHER OF ALL. Thank you for seeing me as your child, and even though I deserved the punishment, you sent your only Son, to die in my place. Thank you God for this Unconditional love. I love you so much and I'll praise you forever..... Amen

Thanks so much for that. It was really encouraging. All of you who's dad's are in heaven are so blessed. I hope that my dad get's saved one day. But until then, I must let Christ shine through me to him. Thanks for the challenge to not take him for granted as i do a lot of time. Happy father's day!!!!!!!

Our Father:
I thank you for blessing me with such a loving earthly father who goes out of his way to care for me and the rest of my family. I pray that You soften his heart and that you use me or any other Christian to show him the greatest gift in the world... Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour! Be with those who's father's have passed on and let them celebrate their lives! Everyday is your Father's day Father!!!! I love you and thank you so much for the grace, love, mercy, kindness and the list goes on with all the good things you've freely given me and everyone else!

To TDS and Jenn

I was really moved by this thread and my heart goes out to you both.

Remember though that even though your fathers may have gone from this earth, their memories will never die in your heart and you both have an eternal Father in heaven waiting for you.

Also remember that one day you will meet with your fathers again in heaven if they decided to follow Jesus. I know this is true of you Jenn and I pray it is the same for you too TDS. If not dont worry as Jesus will dry your tears and bless you in the next life as you give the pain to Him.

Finally to Jennifer, the love of my life.. I will never leave you or foresake you as I am totally in love with you with a pure and unending love and never want to let you go. When you arent around my life is empty. Know that you are beloved and special to me as I care for you fondly with all my heart. . Its key is in your hands and only you can unlock it now.

I will be praying for you both tomorrow on Fathers Day. God bless you and be with you.

I thank God when you gave your life to Jesus, you reached out to your heavenly Father, to teach you all that you didn't know. God has lead you every step of the way in raising our children and the many more that don't belong to us. For all the times you minister God love to the many broken young men that God leads into our life. I thank God for your obedience. I know it has not been easy for you, but through God's love for you and your commitment to Him, you have overcome. There have been many battles, but through Christ Jesus you have had many victories over what the devil chose to destroy you with.

So on this day that we honor our fathers I would pray that all the fathers at talk Jesus would have a really happy day, surrounded by their families,and that the fatherless here would know just how much our heavenly Father loves them, that they would feel the love of God this day. Fathers reach out and touch a fatherless child today with the love of Jesus. That all the unsaved fathers would be touched by the love of Jesus Christ. Last but not least i would like to thank God for raising my dad off his death bed 13 years ago and healing him. Thank you Lord for giving my family more time with a really special dad. Amen & Amen
