In the story of the Exodus from Egypt we are given some future spiritual insights into how we as born again Believers in Jesus Christ have His protection from the Wicked one.
It is written in
Exodus 12:23
For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lordwill pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”
We know by the words of God that Christ is our Passover Lamb, and it is His blood (which speaks) that seals us and protects us from the Destroyer from entering our hearts and minds.
The Destroyer is the name of the angel of the bottomless pit, who is also the king over the children of sin and pride.
Those who are not sealed with the blood of the Lamb are unprotected from his spiritual attacks. But those who are sealed by the Spirit of God have the blood of the Lamb written on their hearts and minds so that the Destroyer may not enter.
1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
