Fear Of Rejection
Have you ever worried about what other people think about you? We all have.
Maybe you act a certain way and you know it’s not you, but you do it to fit in with people. Or, you dress a certain way so you don’t stand out in a weird way or get made fun of.
You want people to like you. That’s okay. It’s actually a good thing—a healthy thing. But it becomes a problem when we become so afraid of what other people think of us that we stop being ourselves.
Look at the verse you just read. Here’s what it's pretty much saying.
We shouldn’t try to impress others, and we don’t need to impress God. He loves you just the way He made you, and He wants you to be you.
I know we all want to belong and fit in, but you need to know you belong to God first. Once you understand that, you’ll begin to understand who God has made you to be, and you’ll notice that being rejected isn’t so scary.
So, stop trying to be someone else, and start to focus on who God made you to be.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10
