Finding ways to make it easier to profess your faith/faithfulness? I know it’s not supposed to be easy but as my teacher used to say “Work smarter. Not harder”. Ring a bell? What are some “easier” ways do you find to profess your faith/faithfulness?

So I’m aching to admit it! I just got myself a “purity” ring that says “True Love Waits” and I LOVE it! I’ve always worn a plain stainless steel ring on my ring finger but this one is different because it actually says the words to encourage me to WAIT. When I wore my old ring friends would ask me questions like “are you married or something?” and I would easily profess my faith by saying it’s a purity ring or it’s a promise ring to remind me that true love can wait. Now the ring says it all. All I have to do is read the words on the ring and that leads to great conversations about love, living as a Christian, and waiting. So…your turn. :D

My thoughts, some things I have found : It only seems hard until you have broken out of your comfort zone and done it a few times, after that it is a pleasure. Always remember, if you feel that nudge in your spirit to share, it is the Holy Spirit prompting you. You are not responsible for the results but must joyfully obey. You may witness to one and that one may remember that word 20 years later deciding to give their heart to Christ. Sharing Christ is an act of love and no act of love is a wasted deed. So my suggestion- an attitude of " Lord you want me to speak, I cannot wait to see what You are going to do"!

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt 11:28-30

If we are able to take on His yoke, then as Jesus says, it is "easy". The difficult thing for men is to get there... to that yoke.

What is a yoke? It is a device used to connect a team of work animals (oxen, mules, horses, etc.) together so that they must work together, the strongest one adding to the weakest. If we are yoked together with Jesus, there is no doubt who will be the strongest, the Leader. There is no doubt who will be adding to whom.

Once we are there with His yoke on us, we will not even have to think about professing or confessing our faithfullness, it will simply happen.

Our difficulty is really coming onto to Him (Jesus) completely and continuously so as to be yoked completely and continuously with Him. Here we must ask, and ask again, repeatedly, for as long as we are in this race in our flesh. The race will continue until the flesh is dead. What we do with the time we are given within this flesh will determine our end.

Will it be a easy walk with Jesus, or will it be a continuously difficult struggle agains all of those things of this natural life which confront us? It will be difficult if we keep trying to lead the fight ourselves. We are to be yoked with Him, not pulling Him along behind us! The secret again is in the coming onto Jesus and staying there and alway letting Jesus be the Head, the Leader, the Director of all that we are.

So again the answer to keep on asking for help in surrendering to Him!

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matt 7:7
