I was reminded of many thing today especially my dad's wife(my stepmom).
I didn't live with her.
She accepted Jesus back in 1993 and has been a hard core Christian ever since. I've never known her to be loud and hostile.
My dad was married to her for 40 years and 3 months.
She's always loved the color black. She has this shirt "This is my favorite Black shirt until they make something darker."
She had the God-given "Gift of Gab". Not gossip.
Me and my older sister don't have the same mother. Two of my brothers (twins) and one sister are their kids.
I ask all of you for prayer for them and their loved ones. They've more of a bond with her than I ever did.
In case your wondering, they were both "smitten" with each other once they saw each other at the telephone company back in the day!! I find that AWESOME.
She had dementia which got worse over the past year. Thankfully the place she was staying allowed dogs. Her daughter has this one black lab (well-trained) she'd bring in often that would make her day so good.
She would also play her music and watch her shows.
I've never seen my dad cry until today. All you can do is LISTEN and is why God gave us two ears and ONE mouth so to shut it and not say anything stupid. (I did not do that."
Her daughter also got that gift and wrote a summary of her life. We're never prepared even when all things point to the inevitable.
Funerals are for the living and the dead care nothing for them. It helps with closure.
Given what I know of her in our lives and God, she is with our Lord.
