Just dropped in to say "G'day"
Hello everyone...
When I retired I thought I would have lots of free time. How wrong I was. I have more to do now then ever before and not enough hours in the day to do it.
More grandchildren on the way and family weddings and events to attend. Things just aren't simple any more.
My grand-daughter is getting married on the 24th of this month. Now you may say "big deal". But it is when ...all the family have to fly to an island some nine hundred klm away to get to it. We don't want to dissapoint Amanda but it is putting a big financial strain on everyone. But we love her so we make the effort.
My mother has been transfered from the hostel to the nursing home. I take my hat off to the wonderful staff at this complex. It is run by the local Lutheran Church of which I am a member.
My brother is also in a nursing home. He is fifty seven and has had a stroke. They just discover he also has cancer of the lungs and throat.
Yes I count my blessings...knowing my loved ones are getting the best care possible.
Yes I count my blessings ...when I see folk who would give anything to be busy and able just like me.
Yes I count my blessings...knowing God is walking with me every steep of the way.
