and we end up flipping open the bible.

my brother:
Proverbs 23:34 You will be like on who lies down in the midst of the sea, like one who lies on the top of a mast.
"they struck me" you will say, but I was not hurt; the beat me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake? I must have another drink.
keywords: Cognitive dissonance

myself:
Ecclesiastes 7:15
In my vain life i have seen everything, there is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man who prolongs his life in his evildoing, be not overly righteous, and do not make yourself too wise. why should you destroy yourself?

keywords: you are responsible.

There are many things wrong with what you posted.
#1: Getting your underage brother drunk is irresponsible and illegal.
1 Peter 2:13-17
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

#2: Neither of you should be getting drunk.
Ephesian 5:18
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

#3: You seem to be using the Bible as a fortune cookie. It seems irreverent and ouji/spin the bottle-ish.
1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I have tested what you wrote against scripture and found it completely inaccurate.
I suggest you really look into your heart and search the word without being under the influence.
Here is one last verse that scares me about what you have done with your little brother:
Matthew 18:6
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

If you are interested we are here to encourage you in a good direction and help you to be a Godly influence on your brother. I will be praying for you, your brother, and whatever situations you have going on in your lives.

God wants to care for you.

1 Peter 5
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Psalm 55
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

where last night gets more interesting is the verse i stumbled across was God's thoughts toward me at the time "why destroy yourself"
which is something I've been doing for the last 3 months in various ways, and i already know that.

I did miss my cue to prophesy to my brother that the Lord would marry him.
maybe he was supposed to be informed of that, but not remember it in the morning, i don't know... hmm.

A man asked God for direction, he said "I will open the Bible, point and read your answer" He opened his Bible, closed his eyes and pointed. The verse his finger landed on was at the bottom of the page. He began to read "Judas went out and hanged himself" he needed to turn the page to finish the verse. He turned the page, not knowing the pages were sticking together. He continued to read, "go thou and do likewise" So, what he had read was "Judas went out and hanged himself, go thou and do likewise"

A message from God?

I have heard this before, and find it quite humorous...and quite saddening at the same time.
People think that flipping open a Bible and reading the first verse to catch their eye is how God speaks to them. Unfortunately, that's not how it's done, my proof of point being that verses are easily taken out of context and twisted into something they are not.
Literally, that falls under the classification of "adding to" the meaning and/or "taking away from" the meaning of God's Word...and there is a warning against doing such.
Revelation 22:18-19
18I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

I highly advise that no one use this "method" at all for any purpose...except to prove how foolish it is.
Instead, begin reading at the start of the book/letter/epistle, verse 1 chapter 1, and continue reading from there to the end of that book of the Bible. Read it several times through, slowly and carefully, praying that the Holy Spirit will help you understand and apply the Scripture to your life.

Other than testimony that God "Gave me a real clear message" concerning something, a friend of mine seems to get about 90% of his information from the Lord by exactly that.
Opening the Bible and reading the first verse.
In fact, this is how the Lord gave me confirmation and provided me the opportunity to speak to him about something last Sunday.
confirmation that basically "its over" and "within one year"

but regarding opening the Bible and reading what your eyes fall on. It has to be done on faith.
for example, just this moment i do this, and i come to Psalms 139:4

You have some serious problems. One of them is maturity. You lack it very much. Second issue is your obvious mockery of the Bible. You think you're walking in the Lord by "flipping open" the bible and reading the first verse, your dead wrong. Putting these two issues together tells me your not sincere at all. I would not take advice nor trust a man who gets drunk and gets his underage brother drunk.

Grow up

i think you have Hope...and want...I think that you really cant go on the first verse..But who are we to say...we are not you...Now the best way to know if its God and not evil is speaking to you is to fast..lets say that again..FAST...lol...for real...even if you are to eat or not even sacrifice any thing...as in fasting ...pray day and night..pray for 3 to 4 hours a day or longer....

If you are annointed by the Holy Spirit...you will know...if im understanding this correctly..your talking about sin..one man who is under God and one who isnt..is this correct..???im really not understanding your meaning in this......
no one is righteious(spelling) like no one is perfect...execpt Jesus..he is the only one rightieous and perfect..even washed clean we are sinners...now does that mean we go and sin on purpose...NO!!! not at all..
maybe its just me..but im not understanding what your are saying..help me to understand..god bless

ok...we are not to judge in any way...now are you going by what your friend says and does..or are you the friend..i have opened the bible and even my journel..you wouldnt understand...triles..lol...and prayers lead by the holy sprit...well and it spoke to me ok..yes sometimes i was like yes that is God saying this to me...But other times i found my self wantning a answer so bad that i put scripture to my situation..

Dont ever put biblical scripture to your situation..you will find your self miss lead and even more confused..i use to do it..lol..Let the HOly Spirit guide you...in order for that to happen ok..you have to be in the spirit..
Meaning constant prayer, worship, and praise, and reading of Gods word,,,at least for me thats how it works..Then thy lord thy God will speak when he is ready. We cant rush to conclusions by opening the bible and saying thats it..maybe sometimes but not everytime....See evil will work in ther ways to pretend to be Holy..Found that out first hand as well...

Again we cant judge you ok..who know maybe your correct somehow in what you say that we dont understand ok..But i will tell you something..God would never say drink and not be sober...never what so ever..I thank you know that as well...and God would never say give this drink of sin to your brother..not ever....Seek his face...

Rebuke the enemie...and pra, worship, and read the word of God all the time..as much as you can..then you will see the difference...god bless you in every way...may the lord give you widom and knowlege in him...In jesus name i pray...amen
