I need help getting visions from god, most importantly i want to know what is his will in my life as i feel lost in life. I am in college right now but I cant focus on studies. I am addicted with adult content from childhood - Got into OCD (repeating same behavior again and again--- no drugs are working for me)

I read the BIBLE / or listen to verses yet I fall to this sin. I want GOD to be near me every time- I always pray for my sins and say LORD HAVE MERCY ON ME.

Even though Jesus is giving visions to so many people Why cant i get one that says HE is with me, and not rejected me because of my previous pagan rituals and sins I committed. I broke the very first commandment and maybe he has put clouds so that NO prayer may reach his ear. God has turned his deaf ear on me, I guess.

But i am not giving to give up on him,
May Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us sinners. Amen

I need help getting visions from god,
May God bless you and guide you. But it not visions that you need, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
(Acts 2:37-39 KJV)

And the fellowship of the brethren.

God has turned his deaf ear on me, I guess.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(Romans 10:13 KJV)

India is a big place brother. I couldn't begin to help you find a Spirit filled church that knows "visions" are for others, not oneself. Those who base their assurance of salvation upon "visions" and supernatural works might one day find themselves in trouble.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(Matthew 7:21-23 KJV)

Visions are a form of prophecy.

Just do the will of the Father as taught by Jesus.

Grace and peace to you,
Rhema

The will of the father is to glorify Lord Jesus Christ and God the father and following the commandments.

How do I receive the baptism of Holy Spirit? I read many books about it yet nothing happened.

Also how long will it take for me to get rid of adult content as i cannot live without it? I am praying but my flesh is not weakened it by fasting.

I don't know, @ritambh, but I would suggest, perhaps, praying for a wife? I'm truly sorry if that sounds simplistic or condescending, but this scripture comes to mind:

I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
(1 Corinthians 7:8-9 KJV)

And I'm Not trying to make light of the matter. If I may suggest also in your prayers to ask the Father to renew a right spirit within you as you repent?

How do I receive the baptism of Holy Spirit? I read many books about it yet nothing happened.
I rather cannot comment on those books, but the scripture to which I would point is this:

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
(Acts 19:6 KJV)

The physical laying on of hands seems to be important. But I must be honest, I know nearly nothing about your part of the world, or even if there are any believers there that might be "Charismatic" or "Pentecostal." I presume the Catholic Church is everywhere, though I doubt they could be much help.

Is there another believer you know with whom you can confide?

May God guide you in His pathways,
Rhema

Just ask.

Luke 11:13; "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

Obedience to Jesus is a requirement.

Acts 5:32 "And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him."

Some Pentecostal denomination emphasize this, other's do not.

Acts 8:17 Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:18 Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was bestowed through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,

Acts 9:17 So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.

But I know of no Pentecostal denomination that is specifically against the laying on of hands.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Some denominations say you have to repent and be baptized in water first.
Acts 10:47 "Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?"

However in the case of Cornelius, ( the first Gentile to receive the Holy Spirit ) he was baptized in the spirit first, then water.

Acts 11:16 "And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

Acts 1:5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

We are (or at least I am) quite aware of Cornelius. But recall that I did say "seems to be..." So we have one witness where God was so intent on Cornelius hearing the gospel, that an angel was even dispatched to have him summon Peter. With that level of belief, I shouldn't wonder that the reverse of the typical happened.

But I don't cement the typical into a formula.

But I know of no Pentecostal denomination that is specifically against the laying on of hands.
Perhaps it's just a matter of Faith. Even those expecting to be healed from Jesus' touch still needed his touch.

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
(Matthew 8:9-10 KJV)

Kindly,
Rhema

But I am not surprised that those who grow up with a faith that rejects any and all gifts have no faith for them.

Repentance does wonders

Recieving Jesus into your heart comes through repentence.

May God's love fill you

But i am not giving to give up on him,
Nor will He give up on you.

The following scriptures came to mind.

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that I do. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
(Romans 7:15-25 KJV)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(Romans 12:1-2 KJV)

It wouldn't be a sacrifice if it there was no suffering.

Also how long will it take for me to get rid of adult content as i cannot live without it?
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
(Matthew 4:2-4 KJV)

praying for a wife? I'
You are right, but the problem starts here - I am at college my last year, next year I have to get a job, If i dont get rid of this habit its getting hard for me to concentrate on my studies, If i dont have job how can i get a wife?
I am looking for help regarding this --- then job ---- then for a wife

Gods love has filled me, but I wish he would help me with temptations.
God uses those temptations to help us become stronger in him.

You have grown in God to a certain point, now it is time to continue to turn towards God, seeking Jesus. Each time that temptation comes to your mind, turn to Jesus.

I know it sounds boring, but growing deep in God takes time and love. To fall deeply in love with God, to be like Enoc, means to always have God in your heart and mind.

this is soo true ---- thats why it is said to always say to repeat the unceasing prayer - lord jesus christ have mercy on us sinners.
