God’s Glory

I want to see God in all His glory. Surely know one can see Him and live, but Moses got to see the back of God and since God is no respecter of people I want to see Him too. But we can only see God in His glory when we are pure in heart, clean cause the word says no sin can glory in His presence. When sin tries to show up where God (glory) it must die cause God cannot dwell or be around filth (sin). I was reading God Chasers by Timmy Tenney and I never thought of it before that “only dead people can see God in His glory.” Look at it when Moses and Elijah on the mount at the transfiguration with Jesus. They couldn’t die because they were already dead, so when God showed up in a cloud it was okay.

As Christian or believers whatever you call yourselves we must die to flesh to be made alive in the Spirit. In John 12:24 Jesus was speaking about seeds that must die before it can produce fruit. See seeds can be dormant for along time, but without the right environment it will never be what it was meant to be. But when it dies it produced fruit. Just like us if we die to fleshy desires (fornication, lying, stealing, etc..) and then conform to the image of Christ then we will produce fruits of the Spirit (love, peace, joy, faith, etc.).

For to long we limit the hand of God, we want Him to touch our finances, family and broken relationships. But we never say touch me and just me, mold me into what you call me to be. When we go to church we suppose to go with expectancy and praise should continually be on our lips. In all things give thanks is what Paul told the Thessalonians. We go to church with needs and burdens we looking for financial breakthroughs, healing and other stuff and that is cool but then we are not trusting God at His word. He tells us in Philippians 4:19 “He will meet our every need according to His riches in Glory through Christ Jesus.” Since I know He is not a man to lie or the son of man to repent (Numbers 23:19) I have considered all my needs met in Jesus name. I can speak things that are not as though they were, only when it lines up in the will of God.

See when we realize that God is “ I AM” that every thing starts (Alpha) and end with Him (Omega) then we will not be like headless chickens running back and forth looking for a word or a better life. Jesus Christ is the better life but don’t limit Him because whatever you need Him to be He already is. See Him being I AM tells you if you need a friend “I AM that Friend,” I AM JEHOVAH JIREH (My Provider), I AM whatever you need me (Christ) to be lawyer, judge, counselor, food, shelter and comforter. The list goes on for whatever you need Him to be.

When we understand that He is our bread of life, living water, and what we need to survive then and only then we will see piece of His glory. But one day when we hear the trumpet sound and dead arise first. I will see Him in all His glory, Oh what a day of rejoicing that will be for those who is pure, without spot or blemish. People consider this if the trumpet was to sound right now would you be able to see Him in all His glory or would you perish because of sin? Remember no sin can glory in His presence; so we must walk in the Spirit so we don’t fulfill the desires of the flesh. He became sin for us so we can be made the righteousness of God. When God looks at you does He see the blood of Christ or just flesh?

Amen sister! God bless you. This is a great thread that I don't recall reading something simliar yet on Talk Jesus.

I would like to add some Scripture to this as well.

Psalm 15:2
He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart

1 John 1:6
If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

Romans 8:1
THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

Interesting post,

Just one thing Elijah never died.

2 Kin 2:11 As they were going along and talking, behold, {there appeared} a chariot of fire and horses of fire which separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind to heaven.(NASB)

Peace be with you,
John

I know Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind. He was translated from this world into the next and since no sin can glory in His presence He had to be conform to the spirit and the flesh had to die. He didn't go to the grave like others but flesh had to die so the spirit can be made alive.
