My sister and I grew up in an abusive home, until we were adopted by my Grandparents. I constantly prayed to God and would say, "Father, thank you for another day with my sister Heather. Please protect us and please don't let her be separated from me." Since my mother abused drugs and alcohol the state could have come in and taken us at any time if they were called. They could have separated us when she gave us up. My Grandparents adopted us, and my Grandmother passed my freshman year of high school, and then more recently, my Grandfather in September of last year. My sister and I are now completely alone in this house with no other family members fit or willing to oversee the situation. I worry about our safety and stay up late at night looking out of windows and making sure the doors are locked. As I meditated with God this morning, I cried tears of gratitude. All this time He has been answering my prayer to keep my sister and I together. I sometimes feel sad over the childhood that could have been, but I quickly bat away those thoughts and realize that I wouldn't have it any other way, because my sister and I stuck it out and are okay. The finances are being taken care of and the house payments are already paid off. It is just a matter of the Lord giving me guidance to use the money wisely.
I said all this to say to you:
I don't know your personal situation, but I know there are people that are on TalkJesus that feel like they can't go on, that life is beating them while they are down, that you are trying to live through another day with limited funds, that you are hanging on to hope by a thread. I want to tell you all, that our loving Father provides each and every day. He is the hope we cling to, the air we breathe to keep going, and the arms we run to when we need comfort. He takes care of our basic needs, including the need to feel loved. Run to Him, tell Him your concerns, talk with Him, thank Him for another day. Our Father provides!
