Only weeks ago I was seeking Prayer here for my daughter because she was still living a life of sin despite all of the trouble she had gotten into with the law. It seemed that nothing caused her to fear the life she lived, not even the thought of going to Prison. Then almost within a blink of an eye she felt God convicting her and signed herself into a Psychiatric Hospital to detox and get help with her problems. She has completely turned her life around and away from sin and back towards the Lord. She actually walked to Church on Sunday because she left before my alarm went off to get up for Church. She's doing everything she is suppose to be doing. She enrolled in Intensive Outpatient which she will start next week and that's like being in a Rehab. except you go home at night. Then at night she goes to N/A meetings and Bible Studies and Fellowship meetings. I honestly did not think this was possible. I was always asking for prayer for her to get into an inpatient Rehab. because I didn't think she could turn her life around. She couldn't, but the Lord could and he answered my prayers along with the prayers from my brothers and sisters in the Lord. I give Him all the Glory!!! I just had a birthday a few days ago and she got me a card and wrote in the card that she was giving me her sobriety for my birthday and went on to thank me for being the best mother she could have and then she wrote that I was the wind beneath her wings. What a wonderful gift!!!! She also wrote this poem before she went into the Detox I'd like to share.

“Hero”

Searching for my hero and there she was before me,
All my life I wanted “him” to adore me,
But yet, he just ignored me,
And thru it all, it was her who stood for me,
She did the world and MORE for me,
All the bad things I’ve done and still she has not deplored me,
I’m blessed to have her by my side,
I’ve lost it all, even my self worth and pride,
But love and devotion my mother still had inside,
And at the rate I’m going, the way I deal with my father’s absence will only get me 5,
So, I need to be strong and bring back the person my mother has faith that I still have inside.

I hope this encourages anyone who might be going through similar problems with a loved one. I truly believe that coming here and seeking prayer and receiving it made a difference.

All things are possible through Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior!!!!

Thankyou sister for sharing your testimony,
i have a sister whose in a similar situation
but she's an alcoholic and has neglected her parental role
as a mother. I pray that she may come back to her senses
and God to deliver her. With God all things are possible.

God is a good God

Praise Him, praise Him, praise Him Jesus blessed saviour is worthy to be praise. reading this gives me hope for some one i am praying for-at times i feel like i sholud just stop -cause i see no changes

Praise God and thank you for all of your responses.

Rockstone - remember Faith is not based on what we see, it is what we believe. I know how discouraging it can be to pray for so long and not see any changes, but don't ever stop praying or give up. I wanted to do just that so many times but I perservered through the darkest of moments and I am so thankful and I feel so blessed.

My daughter continues to do very well and we had a couple of challenges come up that would have caused her to relapse in the past but Praise God she stayed on the right path and continues to seek God's direction in her life.

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
