God explained faith to me in a dream

I want to share a dream I had last night. God was showing me the differences between two types of faith that we can have.

In my dream I found myself on a mountain top and had to get across a ravine. I saw God and some angels on the other side watching me. I asked them to throw a rope across. They said no, I must have faith. So I started imagining a rope was thrown across. No rope came. I started reciting scriptures that said ''believe and do not doubt'' and no rope was thrown across. I started believing I could walk in the air as Jesus did on water, after the first step, I realised it was not going to happen. I was getting frustrated as I knew I had faith but no amount of mustering it up was bringing a rope or path across. God said, 'wrong type of faith my son'. So I said, 'well what is the right type of faith then? Please don't be vague'. Two scriptures entered my mind. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a righteous man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way and 1 Cor 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. I realised from these that as a Christian, it is not just ''my'' faith. We have a faith in, with and through God. I needed to examine myself to ensure I was in His will. I then found myself standing next to Him asking Him how He was doing, what He wanted me to do on the other side, why He brought me to the ravine? Just really a general friendly chat with Him. I then asked Him, please can you not by odd and mystical, just tell me how to get across. I need to get across for 'your purposes'. I live for you. God then said, look at where you are standing. I was already on the other side standing with Him. I then recalled a scene from the series ''Game of thrones''. Kaleesi gave her dragon away and the dragon killed the new owner. Kaleesi explained that a dragon has no master. Nobody can control it. In that moment I understood that God has no master and that my original take on faith was an attempt to control Him. We need to be in harmony with Him and His will for us. Talking to God, waiting on God. This takes faith.

Anyways, thanks for reading. Please share your thoughts.
