Noah surely felt stregthened as he walked with God and lived in His favor. How else could he have started such an outrageous project as building a huge boat in a desert nation where it seldom rained - when he was 600 years old.
Picture the old man struggling to coat the giant vessel inside and out with tar while his neighbors stood around the ladder, laughing and critisizing him. And then picture God holding the ladder steady and shouting up encouragement only Noah could hear. "thats it Noah! Good job Son"
In the same way, Gods grace empowers us to do everyday acts of kindness and outrageous acts of courage on His behalf. Step out confidently on the path God sets before you. no matter how outrageous the goal may seem at the time. The God who steadied the ladder for Noah will hold you steady as you do His work.
