The last time i heard from my son 6yrs ago he was in trouble and sadly to far from home to help him.I prayed continuous for God to put some one in his path and help him.We have searched for 6 yrs not knowing what had happened to martin and birthhdays,Christmas,s passed us by.members of my family thought he could be possibly dead yet i had Gods peace and never gave up praying. Two weeks ago i changed my prayer and asked the Lord to make his presents known to Martin and some how get him to aleast remember my address so he could write. Then last Friday evening i had a phone call from my neighbour,he said "julie i have a surprise for you, your son is in my house."I thought he ment one of my other sons.He said"No your long lost son,Martin".I could,nt believe my eyes when i ran with my grandson by my side.He looked well. we had a family reunion and Martin shared his terrible storys of his home being burnt down and his animals destroyed by thugs.he lost every thing.then a man offered him a home and work, so he lived on a farm.He told me, how 2weeks before, he was lying in his bed and a sweet smell surrounded him,he looked for it but could,nt work out where it came from.It happened several times, but when he slepted his first night at my home he said"mum its the same smell as your bedroom".I told him i,d been praying and asked the Lords spirit to be with my son.I do believe he was with Martin for those 6 yrs and took care of him.

God bless you sister.

I am glad Martin is okay, I hope you bless each other each day.

This is great news I'm very glad for you that Martin is home.

Thank you for sharing this testimony...I needed to read this...
to keep hangin in there..in prayer...even the peace..he gives us..when we do
However..for me..at times..I come under some negativity...and...the lord so ever graciously comes..and picks me..up and motivates me..to keep on..
Reading this testimony..is him pickin me up..and saying..keep going..keep hanging in..cause I was having some negative thoughts yesterday..and was trying to get back in a faith stance....GBU and your family

"I had Gods peace" Definately the most awesome part of that testimony pinkangel! Our son had a similiar experience a few years ago...
If only parents could grasp how quick and effective a prayer made to our Father is, there would be a lot less worry, and a whole lot more prayer.
I was once asked in disbelief why I had stated I did not lay awake at night and worry about my children, and I answered, because when I am not with them, I leave them in the capable hands of the ONE who IS...our God is an amazing Father!

This is a great testimony, thank you for sharing this sister. I love the part about the sweet scent. That just blew me away!

GOD bless

An aweome story and I believe every word of it. A lot of people complain that God doesn't answer their prayers. Many times that's because what they are praying for is not in His will. 2nd Peter 3:9 says it is not God's will that anyone perish spiritually, but that all would come to repentence. Therefore, your prayer for your son's return was always in God's will. Your role was to get as much prayer going for Martin as possible.

I think the seeds of salvation had been sewed in Martin's life before you were separated and your prayer is involved in those seeds taking root and growing. "The (fervent) prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (Jas 5:16b)
