Prayer is an essential, powerful part of our relationship with the Lord. Through prayer, we access God’s immeasurable power and protection. Through prayer, we connect our hearts with the heart of our heavenly Father. Through prayer, we express our dependence on the Lord. And through prayers of faith, we make our requests known to God.
The Bible promises that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). So take time to connect with God in prayer every day. And don’t pray just during times of difficulty. Pray also just to share with God in an intimate, loving way—just because.
Prayer—what a wonderful privilege it is for the man of God!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, You promised that I would have troubles in this world, but Your Word also promises that God will hear my prayers and cries in those days when I am troubled and in need of comfort. Thank You for hearing me, encouraging me, and helping me when I call out to You.
