Hello guys,

I just want to thank the Lord for His unspeakable favor He bestowed these few days. I cannot contain His kindness that I have to share it here. Glory to God and praise His name.

My employers went for a vacation in Thailand for two weeks. It's been five months am praying to the Lord that if the family will go for a vacation I would ask for a 10 days vacation in the Philippines. It's a little bit difficult request on their side because first, I haven't finished a year yet of my contract and second, considering their past experience with their last two helpers who went home and promised to come back, but they did not, they might have a trauma and fear I may not come back too. My colleagues in our Church said it is impossible for them to permit me. In spite of that, I still took the courage to ask their permission as they prepare themselves last Monday August 05. I prayed to the Lord that if it His will that I will go home, He would remove their fear and give them the confidence that I will come back for sure to finish my contract with them. I'm so happy to hear favorable yes in less than 15 seconds. YAY!!!` So I got 10 days.

Originally, my purpose of going home is solely to take a full rest. But it seemed that I'm adjusted with myself already with the nature of my work and the family as well - feel at home with them at last (hehe), so I have again another prayer, that is to secure my school credentials since I was not able to get it right after graduation due to some clerical errors and change of administration. It's all by God's favor I was able to work abroad without those papers. LOL. I don't know but I have that strong conviction I will be needing those papers soon, in the near future!

Another purpose is to process my sister's school document for authentication and red ribbon on the Department of Foreign Affairs Manila Office. Counting the days and processing time in every office and hours of travel (have to go in 3 different offices in 3 different places) it's indeed a very hectic schedule. Looking on my available resources, is also a little bit tight because I handled my own air ticket back and forth. Praying hard as I arrive because I don't really know if I will be able to accomplish anything, the Lord spoke in my spirit " The day is coming He is going to fulfill all what He had promised unto me, that I have to be steadfast and go on my way." I got the strength and assurance. I set two days in every office, one day to visit my brother's house and one day to stay in my parent's house. Most of the days are already on the road (haha) and at night I sleep in our Church in the City with free food and lodging. I thank the Lord for the brethren there and our Pastors for their kindness and warm accommodation. To cut the story short, I was given all the favor I need to secure my papers and finish my sister's documents in every office (though the new policy says I will be able to get it after 10 upon filling the request). I praise the Lord and been crying to Him this morning for all this kindnesses and goodness He bestowed through and by the brethren, in every office and also a very favorable weather though a storm is raging in our country during my stay. We haven't felt the storm in our province though news said we have a strong signal. And as I go to Manila yesterday, the storm is already gone out of the country, so no hazards at all in my travels. Praise the Lord.

Last but not the least, been also praying to the Lord a time for a season of prayer and fasting for a very specific purpose. So I prayed that if my employers will not allow me to go home, I would take those days to have a partial fast until they come back home. But my one day of stay at home shocked me of what I have seen. An uncle of mine was with my parents with an illness which doctors cannot detect and give appropriate medication. My uncle said that the illness was even worsened after receiving medication. The way I see it is a result of witchcraft. I cannot even look directly to him. I cannot contain to see his pain and suffering plus his family cast him off because of his illness. Their desperation led them to seek help from a faith healer and they receive a healing ointment (LOL) for my uncle that he has to apply it everyday in his body, but still he's not getting well yet. My mother was so desperate that she has to find all the available Bible at home and read it everyday to seek help while praying that I should call them that I may be able to pray for my uncle. They don't know I'm coming home. I'm very reluctant to pray because I know I'm not that prepared and afraid also of any spiritual attack on my part (LOL - self preservation is always my enemy. haha). But my mother is budging me, praying in my heart, the Lord spoke again to me in Isaiah 58:6-8 (the fasting the Lord requires). I got the strength and witnessed to my uncle. I was shocked to know that in his more than 50 years on earth, it is his first time to hear the Gospel and the Word of God. I told him that the greatest miracle he would be able to receive that night is not a miracle healing on his sickness but God's own love in his life, the miracle of salvation if he would only believe and receive the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12), to acknowledge Him Lord and Savior of His life (Romans 10:9-10). After witnessing, mother and I prayed for him. After praying, I check some parts of his body, his neck got dried already. The following day, before leaving home, I gave him some penny because my mother said he has only a few clothing of his own. His dwelling and everything they have was burned. He said he has nowhere to go once he will recover, his family forsake him already. His two daughter has their own families already and his wife stay with one of them. I also asked my eldest brother to boil some medicinal leaves for his bath. Then I went on my way the following day declaring God's goodness and sovereign power. Halleluiah!! Praise the Lord!!!

God is always great. He is awesome and wonderful. His glory knows no bound. And His mercy is without end!

God bless Church here in TalkJesus!!!

TWO.

Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold

from those whose walk is blameless.
12 Lord Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in you.

Hi, Thanks for sharing your God glorifying testimony of God's goodness to you, also for quoting psalm 84, here a poem on psalm 84 I had written some time ago for your encouragement.
PSALM 84

A lovely dwelling place
is our almighty God
our soul yearns for His courts
as our heart cries out to the living Lord

Oh to be like the sparrow
and the swallow in its nest
to have a place near God’s alter
is indeed to be truly blessed

Pleading for God to hear
our hearts desires in His ear
for we His anointed ones
would know His favour with no fear

A day in God’s house
as well as singing God’s praise
and reading His love letter
is for His own far better

Our sun and shield is our God
whose favour and honour we are told
is given to the blameless walkers
to whom nothing good He will withhold

The Lord of hosts is the name given
to the one who is the blesser
on all that trusts in Him
for protection from the aggressor

God bless, Gordon

thanks Sis. Julia and Bro. Gordon for your kind replies. The truth is there are still other great things the Lord has done in my behalf on that time that I cannot speak of here.
@stormomar what an amazing poem Bro. I love it.
