Good Days and Bad - June 07, 2006

June is a special month. We fondly remember those days in June that were the start of summer vacation from school. Most people choose June as the month for weddings. June is when summer begins and when God's creation reaches its peak.

June days are good days. But, unfortunately, not all days in life are good days. No life is without problems, and I have certainly seen my share.

One of my first businesses was the direct sale of vitamins. This was long before the popularity of health and wellness that we have today. So along with successful sales, I had to learn to overcome rejection. In the early days of our Amway business, one of our major manufacturing plants burned to the ground. We rebuilt and moved on. Along with successful new products were others that failed. Our meetings for direct distributors eventually attracted thousands, but we also had one in the early days where only two people showed up.

But I've always done my best to look at problems as challenges and to never lose hope. A good challenge presents new opportunities - opportunities to learn, to grow, to gain strength, or to reach a higher goal. And I've always trusted my future to God, knowing he has a plan for my life and that his plan is for me to succeed in becoming the person he wants me to be.

I love to sail. For me, whatever the wind blows my way, hope is constant. When you're out on the water, the wind blows a lot of unsettling conditions your way. So does life. And those unsettling conditions - those changes in our circumstances - can break us or make us.

It's not how we handle the good days that determines how well we do in life. It's how we handle the bad days. It is hope in God that lights my way along life's path and shines a comforting glow.

So enjoy these beautiful June days that are one of God's abundant blessings. But remember, he's with you on those bad days, too. Put you faith in him and live in hope every day.

Wish I knew how to copy just a section of a post......but the words above are taken from the O.P.

The word "glow" reminded me of the great Statesman Winston Churchill who once said..........."We are all worms.....but I do believe that I am a glow worm"

Lets all be glow worms for Jesus, always shining, always glowing, giving out the love of Jesus
