Help For The Hurting
Drowning,
I'm so sorry to hear about your friends grandfather! There is one thing to keep in mind when a doctor gives a prognosis. Who gave that doctor the skills, wisdom and knowledge to practice? The Almighty Lord!! God is the only one who knows when someone is ready to be born or to die. It is Gods will for His people to be healthy. Continue to be a support for your friend, as this person is blessed to have you at their side. Here are some Healing Scriptures that I hope will be helpful to both of you.
Isaiah53:4 Surely he hath borne our grief's, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted, 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Psalm103:2-3 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.
Exodus23:25 And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. 26There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.
Jeremiah30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
Deuteronomy7:15 And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil dieases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
Psalms107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Proverbs3:5-8Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Matthew8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
I pray that the Lord brings comfort and hope to both of you. I also pray for wisdom and compassion to guide the hearts and minds of the medical personnel caring for this special gentleman. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
Your sister in Christ,
