Gossip and Jealousy can Stop Unity

Hello Brothers and sisters,
I want to talk about to very powerful weapons the devil uses to attack the body of Christ. Gossip and Jealousy. They are tools he loves to plant as a division as a stumbling block.
We are to be as one unit one body representing Christ Jesus.
See the devil uses little foxes to spoil the vine . He puts thoughts in our minds that can make us build up strife against a fellow brother or sister. He knows if he can stir up some gossip or jealousy then division can come in between them. He will plant things in our minds with out even us realizing what is really going on causing us as a unit to become divided. He wants nothing more then for us to have strife in our hearts towards each other we need to keep watch over our spirits because regardless seed is seed it will transform in to something. It will take roo,t and then before you know it! The seed that the devil planted starts to choke out the seeds God has planted in us one by one. Yes we are of flesh but we have been given a mind of Christ. Don’t allow the devil to stop unity. Think about this for a moment if you have bitterness and anger or jealousy in your heart towards a brother or sister isn’t it hard to pray for them does not strife and anger fill your hearts. Why give the devil any glory. When your sister in Christ or your brother in Christ has offended you or has done something you don’t feel is right don’t go to other members boldly go to the one who upset you and reconcile your differences. You will walk away felling less heavy hearted and burdened. Even if they Don’t agree with you. you will be released from the anger and strife then its left up to God to open their eyes. Remember to also pray for them who has done wrong in some way believe the Lord to change their hearts. We are under spiritual warfare and we have to work as one unit operating under one mind to win.
We are all of one mind one body and every part is needed to function properly
I love all of you and praise the Lord we are family I pray each of you prosper and is blessed beyond measure that the Lord uses you mighty in all the ways he has called you to be and I am not going to let the devil destroy my family question is this will you?

We are to be as one in the Body of Christ. One mind that mind is the Mind of Christ. The scripture pertaining to unity are

Psalm 133:1

How good and pleasant it is

My definition of unity is Being of one mind in Christ Jesus with each other to stand together in oneness. To Love each other as you love Christ. When we can all Stand up as One and walk in his word Then there is no mountain that can Stand in our way. The devil is powerless when it comes to unity this is why he plants of strife anger and jealousy in our minds. He doesn’t want us as one he wants us divided and separated . We must be one .

But what about those of the body of Christ that are asleep (deceased), how do they stand with those of us that are still living. I believe the unity of the body of Christ is the same unity of the Spirit that Paul talked about in Ephisians 4:3. It is a spiritual unity and not a natural or carnal unity. I believe that gossip and jealousy can cause me to become disconnected or out of joint so to speak but it does not stop the unity of the body of Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 that He would build his church and the gates of hell wouldn't prevail against it. So my point is I agree with you that gossip and jealousy can cause me problems if I give into them, but if I do give into them it does not dislocate every joint in the body of Christ and stop that unity. If I fail in a relationship with another believer it doesn't render the whole body of Christ ineffective.

dear jiggy,
this is the best way i know how how answer your question. We as unity here have to battle the things of the world in a spiritual way but when we pass away from this world we are still a apart of the body of christ yet we no longer have to battle the things here for all we battle here in the world. So yes to answer your question when we pass away we are still a member of the body of Christ. Thanks, I will study more on this subject. I do not belong to any kind of religious organization or institution though, so I don't have a pastor to ask( which I am not looking for one either). I do have several brothers and sisters in Christ that help me but I am not sure that I am in error about my idea of unity. So I will seek the Lord and read the Word and see what God reveals. I was reading back and I guess I was misunderstood I wasn't asking a question about those that are deceased in Christ because I didn't know. I was making a statment for you to consider and ponder about your statment of jealousy stopping unity. thats all . thanks again.
