on how to keep bugs away
One in particular comes to
Steal, kill, destroy
but that's his daily tactics
that's his daily ploy
...to see us sad
break us down
steal our peace and joy
he is very sneaky
he is very sly
an insidious creature
who laughs when we cry
he'll hide among the crevices
deceives our active minds
relentless until anxiety
guilt and sins, he'll remind
sadness,
depression,
confusion of some kind
satan is a parasite
a crafty little tick
who wants to suck
the life from us
who dances when we're sick
This may sound a little scary
but please don't be afraid
We are saved from the pestilence
this pest will be erased
the enemy skedaddles
when we call on Jesus
he cringes when we love
his goal is to keep us
from our Lord above
But here's a proven repellent
A lifetime remedy
to crush this pesky devil
sure to make him flee
Every day take captive
Every thought we have
Make it obedient to christ
And blessings will be had
Daily talk to Jesus
Daily walk in love
Let's keep our eyes on Him
Who loves us from above
His Spirit is within us
His Power within me and you
Abide in His Word
Then we'll know the truth
Sing triumphant praises
Joyful tunes of love
Sing Hallelujah!
To our God above
Ponder on His goodness
Great works of His hands
Fill our minds with sweet thoughts
Like water not of sands
Our minds we must renew
to God's way we must think
Take heed of Philippians 4:8
Good words to live and drink
So let's remember brethren
When our minds go astray
Bring it back to Jesus
Trust in Him, don't delay
Soak our minds with
the Word of God
It's sharper than a two-edged sword
Spray our homes with the
Power of Prayer
