SignUp Now!How sad! They teach about grace but don't even know what it is...What a tragedy! They spoke about mercy...not grace.
My friend...Mercy is unmerited favor...We deserved hell and God favored us by adopting us and giving us heaven... Your two definitions here are saying the same thing@Admon Mikha'el
Grace is unmerited favor. It is not getting what we deserve, which is Hell. Christ took what was unforgivable and made it forgiveable.
Mercy is getting more then what we deserve. Mercy is healing, blessings, and abundant life.

- good will, loving-kindness, favour
- of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues
Grace and mercy are different sides of the same coin.
Grace is getting what we do not deserve.
Mercy is not getting what we do deserve.
Grace is getting something we do not deserve.
Mercy is not getting what we do deserve.
I think you have it backwards. Grace is not getting what we do deserve, because we deserve Hell. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We are covered by His grace.
Mercy is getting what what we do not deserve. Mercy is Heaven. Mercy is healing. Mercy is what the Good Samaritan did.
