Can anyone read this. I have a verse i need intepretation. If you read acts 8:39-40 you will see that it says that the holy spirit caught away phillip and he wa only seen later far away sort of saying that Christians can teleport but another guy who has 3 degrees in theology told me that in the origional bible it says that The man saw paul and then didnt and then he was only ssen in another village and that it is not as it is translated. I dont feel rest with that so can any one please check that up

I dont know what he means by saying "the original bible it says that the man saw Paul and then didnt ... and that it is not as it is translated"?

There are only two common interpretations that I know of , one being he vanished, (or you could use the modern word teleported lol) the other being he was picked up by his hair and carried to another village. You must remember tho, either way it was done by the SPIRIT, and no christians cannot teleport themselves if that helps answer your question.

KJV Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

"caught away" from the origional greek word har-pad'-zo meaning
to seize: - catch (away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force).

Thanks. That helps because another pastor told me that God had teleported him in spirit a few times before and when I shared this with the guy with all the degrees then he said it meant the guy fell unconscious in the spirit of God and then when he woke up Phillip had already left making me and the pastor who wasnt there out to be fools and i lost a few friends that said i was wrong to question the guy with all the degrees

"It meant the guy fell unconscious in the spirit of God and then when he woke up Phillip had already left?"
That is not in the Word of God in any translation that I am aware of, but I have a little word of advice for Mr Degree`s. It doesnt take a theology education to twist the Word and make it say what you want it too, just add a little self, and little so called knowledge, and give it a stir lol.
One is never a fool to question any teaching, you would be more a fool to believe everything you are told about the Word without checking it with the Word.

Act 17:11 Now these were more noble than the Jews of Thessalonica, for they gave serious attention to the word, searching in the holy Writings every day, to see if these things were so.
