Hello: When you see this reply, you will understand as one writer to another. I will give you something that God gave to me, I'm actually in the process of trying to publish some work that I've written. I've written two books. They are finish, but I'm trying to find the right place to publish my work. It's a tough business to get into. Nothing is too hard for God though! You said you're wondering if you should pursue it further. I'm reading a book by Stormie O'Martian called "Just Enough Light for the Step that I'm on"! In the book I'm in the 11the Chapter called "Surrendering Your Dreams". I'll give you an excerpt of the passage that helped me with this on writing and anything else. It says.. and I quote: "God puts dreams in our hearts to give us vision and inspiration and to guide us to the right path. That's why we have to make sure the dreams we have are not from our own flesh. The only way to be sure of that is to lay all of our dreams at His feet and let them die. And we must also die to them. The ones that are from Him will be given new life. We don't want to be just wishful thinkers, always living in a dreamworld and never seeing anything of significance materialize. We don't want to be continually chasing after something God is not blessing." In here she is talking about letting them die, and letting God ressurrect them. I wandered around for 40 years, trying to find the place God wanted me to be. I was so busy pursuing other people's dreams for me, that I forgot to pursue God's dreams for my life. Just make sure that it's not just a passion of yours, and it's truly a dream God has for you, once you know that you know that you know that you know that.. then "be still and know that He is God" and then he will open the doors for your writing. I'm doing the same thing. Keep me in prayer as well. I hope this helped you. Sorry for the long-windedness.. but of course you should understand, it's the joy, and sometimes pain of a writer.
