Trying to work or earn their mercy/forgiveness, but the end is never near but grows all the more distant?

Then you realize that it is not in your hands but in GOD ALMIGHTY'S?

Cuz I think I've just experienced that. I hope this is true and I hope that I'm not fooling myself.

I know that the LORD is the giver and sustained of life! Not anyone or anything else!! Where do I go from here, follow brothers and sisters in Christ?

Any relatable stories out there? Any psalm or scriptures of encouragement or direction applicable to this?

The Apostle Paul was no stranger to very difficult times in his life which he describes here.

2Co 1:8 We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.
2Co 1:9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.
2Co 1:10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

All of the promises of God are yea and in him amen. Somestimes the Lord tells us "no" about what we ask of him
to do. At the same time the says ""yes". What I mean is the Lord will always do what we ask of him but he says "no" to how we want him to do it, but he says "yes" to do it His way.
