The night was lonely, cold and rough.
You went into your room, trying to be tough.
Your hidden tears flowed down a cheek.
You've never felt so meek.
Nobody heard you cry,
Everybody keeps passing you by.
It seems like nobody cares,
Everybody throws unaware stares.
One day at a time, one step up the stairs.
Will someone please help?
So silent was your tear,
You were surprised to find,
What God had in mind.
He hears your tears.
He wrapped his arms around you,
Told you who he was and how much he loved you.
He died on the cross to wipe away your stain,
And he goes through the same pain,
When he hears your tears.
The rain outside your window,
Was evidence of things unseen,
But you felt a tug inside, what did he mean?
The drops flowing down the window pane,
Were remnants of your pain,
And he was crying with you, for you.
So silent was your tear, but he is near,
He heard your tear.
Chorus.
