Lord, I'm crying...
"I cried, too"
Father, I'm dying...
"I died, too"
Why become man and have the world murder you?
"Because no one will ever, ever love you...more than I do"
God uniquely entered into time and space
and replaced with grace a past I couldn't erase
He chased away the pain and the dismal grey haze
and taught me how to praise all the wasted yesterdays
He walked this world, he felt my same pain and sorrow
He traded away Heaven so that I could gain tomorrow
This time is mine to borrow so I won't bother to unpack
See, I'm only passing through until Jesus wants me back
I've got the inside track to a street called Straight
"Here I am Lord" as I patiently await
I have a God that came before me, a Savior so divine
He also came just for me as he leaves the ninety-nine
When I was blinded by the dark in the middle of my night
Jesus came and found me and he led me by his Light
We are invited to his table by his undying affection
and there, I'll serve my Lord, at my own resurrection...
