Hi! My name is Mara and I am from Perú. I used to talk with different christian friends and co-workers but since the Pandemic that has changed. The quarantine continues here in Lima, since last March and I am getting a bit lonely. So I would love to make some new friends around the world. It is good to hear from you. I hope you will be happy here. The name Mara means 'bitterness', but can sometimes suggest strength I believe. If this is your user name I hope your choosing of it was not because you yourself have had a bitter pill to swallow.

Mara, as you will know was also Ruth's mother-in-law's name, self-chosen, following the deaths of her husband and sons (Ruth 1:20).

A forum, by it's very nature can be an uncomfortable place to be on occasions, and not everyone is kind. However, if we meet all comers with politeness and consideration then we are more likely to receive that in return.
