HI! HOw Do You Evangelize Without Scaring People?
Hello, I am posting for the first time. I am someone who as come to believe in Jesus later in my life, after living a fallen lifestyle. I have been a follower of Jesus' message now for about 8 years. I find myself as an artist around people who are not Christian, and I am hyper-alert to using buzz words that would make them cringe...as in encouraged, saved, etc. etc. but at the same time, feel I don't want to compromise the message and yet want to make sure they get it. So, I am here hoping to find people in the same situation, willing to give me some helpful advice and or support along the way. I live in a metropolitan area and feel the urge to evangelize, but am quite stumped at how to, without sounding like an evangelizer. KWIM? So, glad to be here. I am not a fundamentalist, I believe I am a supporter of the simple truth movement, I believe in community building, outreach, and love to all, showing them that God is love and at the same time not compromising the message that yes, there are black and white issues. Anyhow, I'd love to hear from some of you with similar experiences, struggles , etc.
