Welcome Victor. One thing I learned was that Fundamentalism IS a snare. One cannot take every word of scripture in a wooden literal sense. It just is not true. There is simile, metaphor, the poetic, apocalyptic, parallelisms, and more (even some allegory in the parables) that unless we accept it in this way (and allow for some difference in understanding between family in Christ) we miss the essential purpose). So I think you may have been disillusioned by their unbending strickness and sometimes hypocrisy. Christ is much more about love (the verb) than do's and don'ts on some list. As a result of exposure to fundamentalism one can became a really devout follower of Jesus or one can become a judgmental mean person thinking they are Holy and all others are not. Any reply is welcome.
