My name is Nathan

I am 17 years old. I don't know exactly how long I've known Jesus. My parents have raised me in the church; so, I've been going ever since I could remember. I have struggled with the temptation to body altering chemicals and it has hurt me spiritually and I bet mentally as well too. I am afraid for my future and what I will do for a career and work. I am about to graduate High School next June in 2020. I don't have a remote idea to what I want to apply myself for. The one thing I do know is that learning the Bible and praying bring me comfort. Because of my sins, I have put myself into a position where my spirit can get easily fearful and not speak all the truth that I am supposed to. I hope to grow in Christ and through his grace become stronger in my spirit and body to bring him true glory. I am excited to be apart of this community and it will get me through school a bit easier xd.

Good to have you here.

You may feel young, worried and vulnerable.....but you have the strength of our Lord Jesus Christ working in you and He is abundantly able to keep you.

Keep reading the Bible and praying.....lean on the promises that will never ever fail you.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:5-7

Greetings Nathan,

Welcome to the forum.

It is understandable you have concerns and feel vulnerable, but you are not on your own, firstly millions of people your age are in the same situation, it is a big step, it is a step preparing you for the rest of your life my friend. Leaving school and getting a new job is the first step of many, you will experience many more changes in the coming years, getting married, having children, changing jobs again maybe, it is part of life. The key my friend is just take one step at a time and allowing Jesus to guide you.

You are blessed as you trust in the Lord Nathan, you have more than a lot of other kids, Jesus will open doors when the time is right, as our dear sister @Fragrant Grace quotes above... Trust the Lord not your own thoughts and understanding, be wise, Trust Him, He will guide you and your coming path.

Blessings
