First let me just say how awesome it is to have found this site.


My name is Gemma and I've been a Christian my whole life, but it wasn't until about four years ago that I really accepted Jesus into my life. But since then my light has flickered alot and thankfully revived each time. I've had bad relationships with guys... been through phases where my self-image has been horrible and its affected my walk with the Lord. However slowly though, I am coming back into a healthy and strong relationship with Him. And its been positive in some ways what I've been through because it has taught me that there is nothing more important than trusting and loving God... no matter what.

I hope to be able to use my negative personal experiences to show others who are where I was that God can help. He can make it better and bring you to an awesome place in your life. I love God. And the best part of that is knowing that even when I fail and slide back into my old temptations that He is going to catch me and forgive me because He loves me too. He doesn't love like us though... it's so much deeper than a love we can ever dream of having or sharing with another human. Nothing we can do can make Him love us any less or any more. So being real is what i want to do. I want to be real for my Saviour.

Gem: Welcome to Talk Jesus. Years ago, when I first came to Christ, I was meditating on this issue of sliding back into old behaviors when God gave me a mental picture that has stuck with me for more than twenty y ears.

It was a television-like picture of the inside of a circus tent.Beneath the roof of the tent, a high wire was strung and a circus performer was balancing himself/herself on a bicycle on the wire. As the vision went on, I became afraid that the performer was going to fall and be injured or killed.

At that moment, the "camera" began to pan backwards, so to speak, and, as it moved backwards, I saw that a huge net was strung under the wire so that, in the event of a fall, the performer would be saved from death by the net. And the Lord said that that is what He does for me as His saved child; He has a net permanently spread under me to catch me when I fall and that that net will remain in place for as long as I commit my will and my life to Him.
