Greetings everyone. I became a Christian about 5 years ago, serving God is the best decision I have ever made in my life. I hope this is a safe place to share what I have learned because I know many will disagree. I am joining because I took part in forums when I was in the world talking about manga, anime and video games, sometimes I still do but I don't enjoy it as much anymore. Now all I want to talk about is what the LORD had his prophets and apostles written down in the bible. Peace to you all and hope to see you around.

When it comes to end-time prophecy Christians differ on so many prophecies and in my view, Christians just don't change their mind even when there's a pile of evidence against what they believe. That's especially true with eschatology and Pre-trib and the beast of Revelation 13 and 17.

Happy to see that you are here.

Well God is a good God, always keep in the word, one scripture I like is this one:

Isa 26:19-21
(19) Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
(20) Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
(21) For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom

Good day to you my friend, I just have some thoughts that I thought you would like to answer maybe. What exactly is the Bible Christian? Is it different than being a Holy Spirit Christian? Or just being someone who believes in Jesus or just a Christian?

Christians have a wide variety of understanding but they all have the same core belief. And that is something that we as Christians need to accept from our brothers and sisters. That we all don't think alike. And just because one Christian has a greater value on say the Holy Spirit versus another who struggles with the Holy Spirit and yet has a greater acceptance towards just straight out prayer. Doesn't mean that one is greater than the other. So when I look at my brothers and sisters here at Talk Jesus. And I know that we have some differences, for instance Chad the moderator and myself. But I don't hold it against him there's no point in it because that's not what being Christian is. Being Christian is just having the core. Which is that Jesus is God, Jesus is the son of God, Jesus is the messiah, that Jesus died for our sins, that Jesus rose from the dead, and we have to accept Jesus as our Lord and savior. And that's the bottom line.

Everything else politics. Whether you believe in the Rapture or you don't believe in it whether you have high honor for Mary or you don't those things aren't going to get you to heaven one way or the other if you believe in it or don't believe in it. That's up to God. It isn't my choice whether I want to go if there's a rapture. It's God's choice. And if there's no Raptor it's still God's choice if you want to take me or not.

It doesn't matter if you worship God on Saturday or if you worship God on Sunday or if you worship him on Wednesday or the rest of the days of the week all that matters is you just take one of those days the week and make that particular day holy. Or maybe you'll make all the days of the week holy. You see the day of the week is insignificant to actually worshiping God. Because there are plenty of people that go to church on Sunday that don't really spend time with God even though they're at church.

The bottom line and this is the very bottom line of what distinguishes a true Christian from everyone else is where their heart is. If you're in love with God your creator or not. If you're in love with God and you're baptized in the Holy Spirit you're going to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Because your heart is fertile. And the same thing is true for people who read the scripture if your heart is not filled with love you cannot really receive the scripture in its fullness. And if a person is a preacher and his heart is not filled with God's love his preaching is weak. The preachers whose hearts are filled with God's love, are the flame that set up on a pedestal for the whole world to see
