Hi! I'm so glad to be a part of this group! Here's a little about myself - I'm a stay-at-home mom of 6, my husband and I have been married for 17 years, we're both 35 years old.
My children are 14, 13, 9, 7, 5, and 3. My 13 year old son has Down Syndrome - he has a heart defect, but he's doing really well. He's my every day reminder that the Lord is with me and my family - loving and taking care of us in all that we do! When my son had heart surgery at 3 months old, I told the Lord that I would not question Him - I would not ask "Why?" Many times, I didn't understand, especially when we had almost lost my son during his recovery. I couldn't understand why he developed pneumonia twice, why he wouldn't get off the respirator and breathe on his own, why it took twomonths for him to come home, when other babies were leaving after 3 days after havin the same surgery. But I realized that I don't need to know "why" - the Lord doesn't need to give me His reason - He gives me his peace, love and hope instead and that's what brings us through. My son is my living testimony - We have an awesome God - now and for always!
I wanted to share my story with all of you - God bless each and every one of you and your families!
