Hmm A soulmate??

Hello everyone, I'm a single man looking for Ms. right. I'm not sure if I believe in soul mates. But I believe each of us should find a true love that can never be hindered by the world. A love that does not expect anything with strings attached. I believe in five major attributes that provides a strong foundation for a relationship to build on, not only do I hope the woman I find believes in these as much as I do, but lives by them as much as I do. They are:

1) Trust
2) Loyalty
3) Respect
4) Honesty
5) Communication

There are other attributes that could have been included (i.e. attraction, personality etc). But these five mentioned above are set forth for a strong foundation for a relationship to grow and blossom into something special. Anyway if you are looking to chat, feel free to respond. Who knows maybe :lightning will strike

I totaly agree with your 5 attributes but I personally would add one 6) a Love of God and all that He represents.
I hope the Lord finds you a lady who is able to for feel these things and that you are able to grow old with.

Thank you very much for your response. Yes I agree other attributes are very important, one being a Christian forsure. But these mentioned above are for people in general I guess. Just a foundation for a relationship (any relationship) to build on.

I'm dating a guy right now and we both communicate really well and we are extremly honest to each other and I know I can trust him cause he's so open to me, cheating is not even an option to us. If God tells me he's the one, then I think i'll really be happier than I ever was.

but I think the very 1st attribute of love, is putting God first!
Trust me, if you do that, you'll find pure utter happiness... A happiness that is out of this world.


Patience too, believing in someone and not giving up if something goes wrong, but staying calm instead.

Very true Nermeen+ and thank you for your reply. I believe that God should be first in our lives always.

I can not communicate 'well' with someone I can not trust, I can not trust someone full heartily who is not loyal. I can not respect someone who is not honest with me. These attributes mentioned all run together.

Listen though, I would not even begin to have a relationship with a woman if they were not saved and did not put God first in her life. That's a sign that I would not want to take that relationship any further. But once we are in a relationship, it's these five that are important to keep it strong and to build on. It's sort a like attraction, attraction draws you to the person to begin with, so attraction is not on the attribue list, because I should be attracted to you in the first place before I decide to have a meaningful relationship! That is why I did not mention fearing God; that is something that should be asked probably during the first date.
