For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 NKJV

No one looking at the world can deny that it’s broken. People are divided, nature is rebelling, hope is fading. Can any of this ever be fixed? If God is there, when will He do something?

What’s the answer? It’s simple but not easy. When sin entered God’s good creation in Eden, it didn’t just bring death and decay to humans. All of creation suffers with us, ants to trees to quasars, innocent victims of Adam’s choice (a choice any of us would have made as imperfect beings), all breaking down over time and awaiting God’s redemption.

But just as a thorough and honest scientific study reveals design in the natural world, sin and decay point to a caring God at work. God’s ultimate plan is to restore all the things He made and called good. Our rejection of God means we’ve invited His curse over His blessing, and He has allowed His curse to warp creation. But He has done so in hope. All of creation will receive the freedom Jesus purchased for humankind. Even now, He is making all things new.

Prayer: God, along with all creation, I eagerly await the day You will make things right, ending our suffering. As dark as these days are, the glory You have for us will outshine all our pain.

He's already done everything He needs to.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power/authority is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
(Matthew 28:18 KJV)

WE just haven't done what WE need to...

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
(Matthew 28:19-20 KJV)

Can you explain this please? Thanks

Dear Sister,
It starts in Genesis 1:31 - And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
At least until man disobeyed God, in eating from the Tree of Good & Evil. (Gen 2:16-17, 3:6, 17)
The earth has not been the same, at least until Jesus. (Romans 8:19, 22)

Personally, I am looking forward to the New Heavens & New Earth! (Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 2:13; Rev 21:1) \o/

I hope this helps some.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

I just thought maybe it also meant when you reject and don't love God then you only see the bad things in life and you are always cup half empty instead of cup half full. You never notice or acknowledge all of God's blessings and all the good that is in life.

Dear Sister,
Very true! That is why I love these little devotionals of God's Word. :)
There are many different levels by which one can see and appreciate what the Word of God has to say. Which allows us to personalize it!

You actually hit upon Romans 8:28. :)

One cannot simply disregard or reject God and assume that all will be well in the end. Unfortunately, this is a common perspective among people who live their lives without Jesus. :( We're not perfect...yet...so that we have our moments! As we grow in Jesus, these moments become less and less. Moreover, as His children, He corrects us just as parents are inclined to do with their own. \o/

If you're like me or not :) you strive to be filled with the overflowing cup of the Holy Spirit, so that no matter what happens in life, you can view it through the knowledge that God sees the entire picture of what is happening, through the perceived good or bad of it, according to man (humanity). So that even though we are only seeing at the time is seen as the bad part of it and put personal blame to it, we're trusting that it all works for the good, because that is what He wants for us. :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts sister.
With the Love of Christ Jesus.
