The desire to be in the company of a Christian. The desire to date and marry a Christian. How strong is that desire?
Matt 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
A Christian is a light in a room. Everyone wants to be with the light. Near the light.
This would equate to a Christian version of 'you' being the most attractive version of 'you' possible.
A Christian is:
1. A vessel for Jesus
2. Repentant sinner
3. Caring
4. Kind
5. Merciful
6. Loving
7. Friendly
8. Gentle
9. Trustworthy
10. Just
11. Righteous
etc etc etc
It does not matter so much what our physical appearances are, if the light of Jesus shines out of us, we are the most attractive person in the room! Fact! Unless of course there is another Christian in the room.
There is truth to a Christian looking after their body. We are the temple of God. I don't believe we must dress inappropriately or give in to gluttony. We must look after and respect our bodies. But, even with physical imperfections, make no mistake, a Christian is the most desired friend, worker and spouse!
Hell is a depressing and sad place as there is a separation from Jesus and the saints! Hell would be heaven, if Jesus and saints were there! Fact!
Luke 13:28 There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out.
