Little children ask amazing questions. Questions like, “how big is God?”
That’s a good question and one that perhaps we adults should ask ourselves more often. In our constant effort to solve the problems that plague our lives, we quickly forget about how big He is!
The psalmist couldn’t seem to escape Him in Psalms 139:7-13. Everywhere he went, God was already there! There was no way to get away from or around the presence of God! Paul preached on Mars Hill that God was the Lord of heaven and earth (Acts 17:24) but don’t worry about where He is because “He be not far from everyone of us” (Acts 17:27.) See He can be everywhere and still right by your side!
Besides being big, He’s also powerful! Paul told Timothy that Jesus was the “only Potentate” (1 Tim 6:15) and of Himself Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matt 28:18.) So along with being everywhere at all times, He can do anything at any time!
Here’s the kicker: there’s nothing He doesn’t know! Job understood this when he said “I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee” (Job 42:2.) Nothing can be hidden from Him! He know’s it all! It’s mind boggling to consider it! The pslamist admitted this by saying “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it” (Psalms 139:6.) Don’t be frustrated because you don’t understand it all – no one else does either!
So the next time you find yourself questioning life, just find a little kid and ask them “how big is God?” He’s big enough to be with me in my problem, powerful enough to handle anything and wise enough to know exactly what I need and how much I can handle! I am so glad to know just how big He is!

Mat 21:15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the marvelous things which He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "We give praise to You, the Son of David," they were indignant.
And they said to Him, "Do You hear what these little ones are saying?"
But Jesus says to them, "Yes, did you never read, 'Out of the mouth of young children and nursing infants You prepared praise for Yourself?'"
[Psalm 8:3]
