When sinners are told the truth that Jesus can deliver them from their bondage to sin and to death, then they can repent from all sins by simply believing in Jesus Christ.

1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Discipleship is about running that race by trusting Jesus Christ daily as our personal Good Shepherd to lead us away from temptations and to get rid of any provisions for the flesh that can tempt us to sin as well as help us cast down sinful thoughts to think on good things, but we do this as saved believers since He is in us & with us always.

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Believing in Jesus isn't repenting of sins.

We have to confess our sins to Jesus and repent of them if we want to be saved.

You have to know what your sins are and what you are going to give up.

Believing in Jesus isn't repenting of sins.
Believing in Jesus is how a sinner receives remissions of sins and the gift of the Holy Ghost as is supported by scripture without ever going forward in confessing Him thus proving water baptism is not necessary for salvation, but only for discipleship.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

So it is as Jesus has said about how one is born again of the Spirit and that is after His ascension which is after His crucifixion for when any one believes in Jesus Christ to be saved.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It is by believing in Him we are saved since it is by never having believed in Him is how sinners were condemned already for not believing in Jesus Christ.
We have to confess our sins to Jesus and repent of them if we want to be saved.

You have to know what your sins are and what you are going to give up.
There is no set teaching about telling sinners what sins are for them to know wat is sin to repent of them when just preaching the cross and thereby by believing in the preaching of the cross is why God is pleased to save those that believe.

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God...... 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Believing in Jesus is how a sinner receives remissions of sins
A believer has to believe that Jesus' shed blood on the cross washes away THE SINS THEY REPENT OF DOING.

and the gift of the Holy Ghost as is supported by scripture without ever going forward in confessing Him thus proving water baptism is not necessary for salvation, but only for discipleship.
The Holy Spirit is given to those WHO OBEY.

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

1 John 3:24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Read those scriptures more carefully. It is about when CORNELIUS AND HIS WHOLE HOUSEHOLD WERE SAVED.

Cornelius and his household were GOD FEARING RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE.

Acts 10:1 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”

Acts 10:22 The men replied, "We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say."

No such thing as believe and do nothing else to get saved. You have to ignore and dismiss a lot of scriptures to come up with the belief to only believe and do nothing else to get saved.

We have to believe we have to obey Jesus' words to be born again. We are born again by REPENTING OF OUR SINS---DYING TO THE SINS OF THE WORLD AND LIVING TO PLEASE JESUS.

Titus 3:5... He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

You are not washed and have a rebirth UNLESS you confess and repent of your sins and believe Jesus' blood washes those sins away.
It is by believing in Him we are saved since it is by never having believed in Him is how sinners were condemned already for not believing in Jesus Christ.
I know what scripture you are confused about.

We are ALL CONDEMNED until we go to Jesus in REPENTANCE OF SINS.

Romans 11:32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.

That is about everyone sinning.

God now commands people everywhere TO REPENT of their sins.

Acts 1730 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
There is no set teaching about telling sinners what sins are for them to know wat is sin to repent of them when just preaching the cross and thereby by believing in the preaching of the cross is why God is pleased to save those that believe.

So then how would a person EVER come to Jesus who DIED FOR OUR SINS?

The scriptures say people would NOT come to Jesus because they didn't want to GIVE UP THEIR SINS.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Paul is explaining why he is glad he didn't baptize many, because then people would say they were baptized unto him.

Paul spoke and Apollos water baptized.

Jesus died on the cross for our SINS. You have to know what your sins are and agree to dies to the sins of the world. That is about being CRUCIFIED with Christ, and then living to please him.

What are those teachings? What are those commandments to get the promise of the Holy Ghost? Don't you think Jesus would tell them in leading up to that in John 14:15-17?

Well, He did. The repeated commandment to believe in Him over and over again is how one receives the promise of the Holy Ghost.

John 14:1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Cause and effect. Look at how the Gentiles had received the promise of the Holy Ghost by believing in Jesus Christ for the remssion of sins before they had come forward to confess him with their mouths and got water baptized in His name.

Acts 10:
43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 1 John 3:24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
I would apply that verse to mean abiding in Him as the KJV has it because He still abides in former believers for why those not abiding in Him & His words in living as His disciples, are still saved..

1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

2 Timothy 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

So regardless of Him denying former believers that verbally deny Him at the rapture event, He is faithful for He still abides in them for He shall lose none of all the Father has given Him that believe in Him, even in His name, even though left behind.

Remember when there was a debate in Acts about how some of the Jews were saying it was necessary for the Gentiles to keep the law of Moses? Do note it was more than about the purification laws.

Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. Look for how they got the Holy Ghost.

6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. 12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

Now note what they did write unto the Gentiles about as if they were not told about what sin was before they preached the gospel to them to be saved by believing in Him.

Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

So if what you say is true that they went down the list of everything that is sin so sinners can repent from all sins before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ, were His disciples remiss in their duties? I think not.

You are not going to find any example in Acts that His disciples had gone over everything God had said what sin was for sinners to repent from all sins before preaching the cross. This is why His disciples are to teach newly saved believers everything He taught them after sinners get saved by believing in the simplicity of the gospel so they can continue to believe in Him as their Good Shepherd & Friend to help them run that race daily by laying aside every weight & sin thus walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son to bear fruit as His disciples and that their joy may be full.

Sinners cannot repent from all sins when they know that those sins have dominion over their lives. that is why our hope is also in Christ Jesus to NOT only deliver them from their sins and keep them from their sins by Him dwelling in us as he is the power for how we run that race which is by faith in Jesus Christ, thus by teh grace of God we go by as we were saved by .. by faith in Jesus Christ that by believing in the preaching of the cross is obeying the gospel for why it pleases God to save those that believe.

1 Corinthians 1:
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God................21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

You didn't make any sense.
Not all the saved receive the Holy Spirit to live in them until the New Testament, and after ascended and sat down on the throne.

No one is going to be saved if they deny him. No one will be saved without REPENTING OF THEIR SINS.

2 Corinthians 12:21 I am afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me before you, and I will grieve for many of those who previously sinned and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and licentiousness that they have practiced.

Remember when there was a debate in Acts about how some of the Jews were saying it was necessary for the Gentiles to keep the law of Moses? Do note it was more than about the purification laws.
No, it is about the purification works.
Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. Look for how they got the Holy Ghost.
IT SAYS CIRCUMCISION. Circumcision is a sign of the PURIFICATION WORKS.
That is about those CIRCUMCISED and those NOT CIRCUMCISED.

THE JEWS had the PURIFICATION WORKS of the law which was also a DIETARY LAW.

You are not going to find any example in Acts that His disciples had gone over everything God had said what sin was for sinners to repent from all sins before preaching the cross.
People know what sins are, and Moses was taught in every city that had a synagogue.

Acts 15:21 For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.”

What you say is not scripture. People used to hear the true gospel, confess and repent of their sins, and get water baptized, and come out of the water calling on Jesus to receive his Spirit to be saved. And all that was at the same time, not different days.

What in the world do you think people are agreeing to being sinners for if they don't even know what their sins are?!!!

Good grief man, think about it. If you don't know what your sins are do you think you are a sinner? If you come to Jesus who died for our sins, do you think you can repent of something you don't even know that you are doing that is wrong?

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God................21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
All the scriptures that say to believe they do not nullify the scriptures that say to obey. We have to believe that we have to obey this man named Jesus.

We have to believe that we have to OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS.

I gave you many scriptures.

Who taught you how to ignore them and move on?
Most scriptures testifying to "obeying" has been applied by you as meaning repenting from all sins for eternal life but I applied most of them as meaning believing in Jesus Christ is how we obey the gospel.
No such thing as not knowing what your sins are to be saved.
Then why would anyone teach the Gentiles that got saved this?

Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Did not these saved Gentiles were instructed to repent from all sins before they got saved in according to your belief? Apparently not or else why send a letter to instruct them otherwise?

Most scriptures testifying to "obeying" has been applied by you as meaning repenting from all sins for eternal life but I applied most of them as meaning believing in Jesus Christ is how we obey the gospel.
Jesus says repent of sins for eternal life.
No such thing as just believe and don't repent of your sins.
We don't obey the gospel by just believing!

The Jews who harassed the Christians by trying to make them do the purification works taught that they had to get circumcised, and observe special days, AND ADHERE to a DIETARY LAW.

Acts 15:1 Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved." This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.

Did you read that?
Did you see it?
It is about the PURIFICATION WORKS THAT MOSES TAUGHT.
Circumcision in the flesh was the sign of the purification works of the law, which also included a dietary law.

Paul and Barnabas debated those Judaziers, so they went to talk to Peter and the others.
Read here what Peter says.
He explains how the RIGHTEOUS Gentiles in Cornelius' home were the UNCIRCUMCISED and how they received the Holy Spirit just as they did.
Peter is explaining that the purification works no longer are commanded by God.

Acts 15 8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Jesus says repent of sins for eternal life.
No such thing as just believe and don't repent of your sins.
Repenting from the sin of unbelief by believing in Him is how we are saved.

Now that we are saved by believing in Him is how we can live by faith in Jesus Christ as our Good Shepherd to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily in living that reconciled relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

I am not advocating living in sin but I am advocating that sinners should know Jesus will deliver them from their sins and not just have eternal life when hey come to & believe in Him to be saved. So even though they cannot see it in themselves to repent from all sins, they can hope in Jesus in coming to Him to deliver them from their sins at that moment of salvation as well as help keep them from their sis daily afterwards.

We don't obey the gospel by just believing!
Yet it pleases God to save those who believe the reaching of the cross.

1 Corinthians 1:
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.... 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Did Jesus waited until the Jews kept the law before dying for them? I don't.

Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.......

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

To think we have to be prefect first by repenting from all sins, would make one wonder why He had to die in the first place if the Jews really could keep the law unde rthe Old Covenant.

Romans 10:1Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. 5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

Galatians 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

The Jews who harassed the Christians by trying to make them do the purification works taught that they had to get circumcised, and observe special days, AND ADHERE to a DIETARY LAW.

Acts 15:1 Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved." Read here what Peter says.
He explains how the RIGHTEOUS Gentiles in Cornelius' home were the UNCIRCUMCISED and how they received the Holy Spirit just as they did.

I also saw this for why it is more than just the purification laws.

Acts 15:5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

So it cannot be just about the purification laws, but also including the ten commandments as the law of Moses. Otherwise, they would be teaching the Gentiles to keep the sabbath day, right? Think about that.

Here is why we are guiltless for profaning the sabbath day because He is in us as we have been bought with a price and sealed as His for how our bodies are the temp;es of the Holy Ghost for believing in Jesus Christ

Matthew 12:1At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. 3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; 4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? 5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? 6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. 7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. 8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Repenting from the sin of unbelief by believing in Him is how we are saved.
No such thing as repenting of unbelief if you never even heard the gospel before.
REPENT is of SINS.

I can give you many scriptures that say to REPENT IS OF SINS.

Here they are:

Acts 8:22 Repent, therefore, of your wickedness,

Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood--idols that cannot see or hear or walk.
21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Revelation 16:10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony because of their sufferings and because of their sores, but nevertheless they still refused to repent of their deeds.11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

2 Corinthians 12:21 I am afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me before you, and I will grieve for many of those who previously sinned and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and licentiousness that they have practiced.

Acts 26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

Luke 24:47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Now that we are saved by believing in Him is how we can live by faith in Jesus Christ as our Good Shepherd to help us lay aside every weight & sin daily in living that reconciled relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
You have to repent of your sins and live by obeying daily.
I am not advocating living in sin but I am advocating that sinners should know Jesus will deliver them from their sins and not just have eternal life when hey come to & believe in Him to be saved.
They can't even be saved if they don't repent of their sins.
So even though they cannot see it in themselves to repent from all sins, they can hope in Jesus in coming to Him to deliver them from their sins at that moment of salvation as well as help keep them from their sis daily afterwards.
You aren't being logical. Just reread what you said.
No such thing as admitting you are a sinner IF YOU DON'T even know what your sins are.
How do you admit you are a sinner if you don't even know what a sin is?
No such thing as repenting of your sins if you don't know what your sins are.

You really think that someone is saved just by believing and then they are only going to automatically know what their sins are AFTER they are saved and then say, "Oh wait, I have to stop having sex with my girlfriends, okay, I'll do that"? You really think that a person will want to admit they are dishonoring their parents AFTER they are already saved if they never admitted they were dishonoring them in the first place? You aren't making sense when you claim we don't have to know what are sins are and repent of them to get saved.

Jesus says plainly that we have to want him more than we want ANYTHING and ANYONE.

With your teaching, you make it that people don't know what they are doing, but can be saved anyway, and that they can find out later they have to give up something because they find out it is sin?

Yet it pleases God to save those who believe the reaching of the cross.
The preaching of the cross is about SINS.

We have to be CRUCIFIED with Jesus on the cross, and that means DYING to the sins of the world.

Romans 6:2 By no means! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?

Romans 6:6 We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.

Romans 6: 11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave

Colossians 2:20
If you have died with Christ to the spiritual forces of the world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its regulations:

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

1 Peter 2:24He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. "By His stripes you are healed."

Luke 13:3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Acts 3:19 Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

How are you going to die to ___s", if you don't know what ___s are?
You don't know your sins, but you are going to die to them?!

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.... 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
Paul wasn't sent to baptize IS ABOUT PAUL BEING GLAD THAT NO ONE CAN SAY THEY WERE BAPTIZED UNTO HIM.

13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

Read past what your teachers taught you.
Did you read now how Paul said that BECAUSE people were saying they were baptized unto the other apostles?
Did Jesus waited until the Jews kept the law before dying for them? I don't.

What?

The Jews kept the law.
To think we have to be prefect first by repenting from all sins, would make one wonder why He had to die in the first place if the Jews really could keep the law unde rthe Old Covenant.
That doesn't make sense either. Jesus DIED FOR US so that we can repent of our sins, be washed, and then RECONCILED to God and not have to do the old law's purification works. We don't have to live by the works of the law which are the PURIFICATION WORKS.

The Jews had to have lambs sacrificed every day, they had to do various external baths, and they had to adhere to a dietary law, and they had to be circumcised.

I proved to you that it was just about the purification works!
If you want to be a teacher and debate others on the truth, you will have to read what they post.

Here it is again:

Acts 15:1 Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved." This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.

Did you read it?
It is about the PURIFICATION WORKS OF THE LAW.
It is about being purified now by faith that Jesus' blood purifies us, and not longer by circumcision, various baths, a dietary law, and the sacrifice of animals.

No such thing as repenting of unbelief if you never even heard the gospel before.
REPENT is of SINS.
God be willing, I shall be waiting for a thread on how you would present the gospel to a world of sinners today where the world rationalizes sins as they did back then.

I thank you for the consideration from the P.M. and hope the Lord will provide the time & opportunity for you to do so, however, do consider that I have read nothing like that in the Book of Acts or in any of the epistles for prepping sinners to know what all the sins are in order to repent from all sins before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ for salvation.

The scripture addresses all sins when they are saved by discipling them in running that race daily by looking to the author & finisher of our faith to lay aside every weight & sin daily.

If drug addicts, alcoholics, and sin addicts believed they had to repent of those sins ( get clean or overcome that sin ) before coming to Jesus, they may never come to Him to deliver them from their sins as well as keep them from those sins while receiving the free gift of eternal life, because they need Jesus in them to deliver them and keep them from those sins.

Not sure how that can be a free gift if repenting from all sins is how they can "earn" that "free gift". Essentially, you are placing the saving of themselves on them by repenting from all sins.

So that is why there are many verses about believing in Jesus Christ is how we are saved and not of our flesh or will power.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Then His disciples teach everything Jesus had taught them for why new believers are to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Good Shepherd & Friend to help them to follow Him daily for He is in them and with them always to help them to do that for that is what a Good Shepherd does.

So what do you hope in Jesus Christ for? Or do you think He ascended telling His disciples, "Good luck. You will need it." ?

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

But I am interested in how you would present the gospel to a world of sinners today, informing them of what sin is so they know all the sins they need to repent of before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ to be saved..

No such thing as repenting of unbelief if you never even heard the gospel before.
REPENT is of SINS.
The message that saves explains that we have to repent of sins as preached by John the baptizer.
Mark 1:4John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Luke 3:3And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

How did the Gentiles received their remission of sins as testified through all the prophets & the gift of the Holy Ghost as a result?

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Now look at how the Jews were told to receive the emission of sins earlier as it is the same message but one will apply it to mean the remission of sins is done by water baptism while you would say the remission of sins was done by repenting from all sins. I want you to read the very words Peter had spoken and I do not see a list of sins to inform the Jews to repent of, but I did see the specific sin that they were pricked in their hearts for doing; crucifying Jesus Christ in unbelief for why I see repent as repenting from unbelief from what they had done in unbelief by believing in him to receive the remission of sins.

Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

There is only one gospel and the way the Gentiles had received the remission of sins is the same for how the Jews did when repenting from unbelief by believing in Jesus Christ.

God be willing, I shall be waiting for a thread on how you would present the gospel to a world of sinners today where the world rationalizes sins as they did back then.
You need to explain that better what you mean.
You have to prove that no one knew what sins were, even though Moses was preached in many towns where the Gentiles heard these teachings.

Acts 15:21 For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.”

You would also have to prove that Paul never spoke to Gentiles what sins were.
Paul says plainly that he preached for the Jews, Greeks and Gentiles to REPENT of their sins.

Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

Acts 26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

Did you see those scriptures where PAUL says HE PREACHED to turn to God AND REPENT and prove repentance by their deeds?

We have to repent and have faith to be saved.

Read these scriptures:

See Acts 13:26 "Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.

Acts 15:8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.

Acts 10:35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.

These scriptures show that the message of salvation is SENT FOR THOSE WHO DO RIGHT AND FEAR GOD.
You want to be ACCEPTED BY GOD and have the kind of heart He saves?

Jesus tells us EXACTLY what to do to have the kind of heart he saves!

Well God is giving me the opportunity now as I reply to you.

Repenting of sins is about having every intention of giving those sins up. We don't have to get rid of all our sins before being saved, because there are some sins we will need help with not doing! However, we have to know what are sins are and CONFESS them to Jesus and REPENT of them.

Not sure how that can be a free gift if repenting from all sins is how they can "earn" that "free gift".
The free gift is to the CHILDREN of God and it means we don't have to work at purifying ourselves by getting circumcised, adhering to a special diet, observing special days, doing various baths, and sacrificing animals, DAY AFTER DAY, every year of your life.

It means that Jesus does that purifying for us.

No such thing as not having to repent of our sins.
It means we have to repent of our sins and not get circumcised and sacrifice animals!

Essentially, you are placing the saving of themselves on them by repenting from all sins.
Acts 2:40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
So that is why there are many verses about believing in Jesus Christ is how we are saved and not of our flesh or will power.

Nonsense.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Not of BLOOD means it no longer matters if you are blood related to Abraham anymore.

Now see how the scripture says not of human will?
That is about a human cannot make themselves saved, for God does the saving when He accepts you.

See how it says not the will of man? That is about a person not being able to just convert to being a Christian.

God has to save the person.

God says He saves those who obey Him.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Then His disciples teach everything Jesus had taught them for why new believers are to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Good Shepherd & Friend to help them to follow Him daily for He is in them and with them always to help them to do that for that is what a Good Shepherd does.
No such thing as just believe and not do anything else.
We have to believe in Jesus means we have to believe we have to obey this man named Jesus and not just God the Father.
So what do you hope in Jesus Christ for? Or do you think He ascended telling His disciples, "Good luck. You will need it." ?
What does that even mean?
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

But I am interested in how you would present the gospel to a world of sinners today, informing them of what sin is so they know all the sins they need to repent of before coming to & believing in Jesus Christ to be saved..
I speak what the Word of God says, and that is to confess and repent of your sins and have faith that Jesus' shed blood on the cross purifies you.

Mark 1:4John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Luke 3:3And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

How did the Gentiles received their remission of sins as testified through all the prophets & the gift of the Holy Ghost as a result?
Gentiles were enemies of God and without Him because they did not get circumcised and come into the covenant with Him and do the purification works to deal with their sin nature.

What? You aren't explaining what you mean well enough.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

No such thing as the only sin being you rejected Jesus.
I never rejected Jesus. I was always a believer since a small child, yet I was saved until I was an adult and did what Jesus said to do and repent of my sins.

Paul talked to people who never even heard of Jesus, but you say they had to repent for unbelief in Jesus. LOL
You can't see your false teachings?

Acts 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

The Jews who obeyed God already had to repent of unbelief if they already obeyed God.

If a person was a Jew and obeyed the old law and LIVED DURING the time Jesus walked the earth and had his earthly ministry and REJECTED HIM and helped in Jesus being crucified---then of course they had to repent of that too.

You are never ever going to get around the Truth that we have to obey Jesus to get saved and confess and repent of our sins to him.

Mark 1:4John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Luke 3:3And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

How did the Gentiles received their remission of sins as testified through all the prophets & the gift of the Holy Ghost as a result?
You keep saying that. What are you talking about?
The Gentiles were ENEMIES of God because they didn't obey Him.

Ephesians 2:11 Therefore remember that formerly you who are Gentiles in the flesh and called uncircumcised by the so-called circumcision (that done in the body by human hands)— 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

Did you read that?
Now, are you going to keep asking about Gentiles and how they used to be able to be saved?
They were ENEMIES of God because they wouldn't obey Him and get circumcised and do the other purification works of the law.

When someone was to be water baptized---THEY HAD TO CONFESS AND REPENT OF THEIR SINS.

Don't you know why John the baptizer was arrested and killed?

I want you to read the very words Peter had spoken and I do not see a list of sins to inform the Jews to repent of,
Jews knew what sins are!
but I did see the specific sin that they were pricked in their hearts for doing; crucifying Jesus Christ in unbelief for why I see repent as repenting from unbelief from what they had done in unbelief by believing in him to receive the remission of sins.

There is only one gospel and the way the Gentiles had received the remission of sins is the same for how the Jews did when repenting from unbelief by believing in Jesus Christ.
Again, some Gentiles never even heard of Jesus.

What you are saying is from false teachers.

You have to REPENT OF SINS to be saved.

If you rejected Jesus before---then REPENT OF THAT TOO.

How Can Sinners Repent from All Sins Before Coming to Christ?

Very easily...it seems that you assume repenting is a spiritual thing, it is not. A drug addict that isn't saved that attends AA meetings has repented from doing drugs, it has nothing to do with God.

..

Believing in Jesus is how a sinner receives remissions of sins and the gift of the Holy Ghost

Almost there
Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe in thine heart that GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, thou shalt be saved."

Takes believing in Him in their heart first in order for any one to confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and that God had raised Him from the dead, right?

I believe God is able to save those who believe in Jesus Christ that are mute, or unable to speak clearly due to illness of dying with their last breath.

We have to believe that we have to obey what this man named Jesus tells us to do.
