How do you know, That you are a "Child of GOD" When was you Born into HIS Kingdom and Became HIS Child.

I know because at the moment I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior -- a great inner peace came from the Holy Spirit coming to indwell me.

And, yes, standing on the promises of Christ my Lord -- there's a song 'standing on the promises of Christ my King.

And "Amazing Grace" and ' The Old Rugged Cross'

All of those are how I know.

We cannot afford a mistake, For many will think they are saved from eternal damnation, How many do you know, who think they are A "Child of The Living GOD"? Many or Few?

A person's life / actions will tell -- and for the person -- the indwelling of the Holy Spirit will be in the form on inner peace that hadn't been there before.

Each individual is responsible to God for himself. Scripture tells us that 'we' Can know that we are a child of God. That we have eternal life. No need or reason to 'not be sure'.

And there are Lots of people who feel 'safe' when they go to church -- they go inside and feel that something 'special' will happen. And there are those who will observe a person being at church and react with 'at least they are coming to church so they can hear the Gospel unto salvation and be saved.' And since a person's salvation is a 'personal' thing. Maybe no one will ever take the time To talk with them.

You are beginning to sound like "Beetow's" 'many or few' thread.

Are we to prove to people that we are saved. or to ourselves that we are truly saved?
Do we try with so much eager to let others know we are saved. Or with such eager do we try to verify our own salvation unto myself.

Our lives Should Show our salvation. There shouldn't be a need to 'prove' anything. It might be the 'why' are we doing what we Are doing? To be pleasing to God or trying to 'earn' our salvation.

What about Learning about HIM and Enjoying Him. and let Him do the rest.

Because it's our decision as to whether we accept God's gift of salvation or reject it.

'And many other signs truly did Jesus
.. in the presence of His disciples,
.... which are not written in this book:
But these are written,
.. that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ,
.... the Son of God;
...... and that believing
........ ye might have life
.......... through His name.
(John 20:30-31)

Hello there, @PloughBoy,

Like @JerryfromMass in reply#2, I know that I am a 'Son' because I am trusting in God to fulfill His promises, and those promises are sure. I have no confidence in the flesh, so I do not rely on feelings, or experiences to prove the 'sonship' spirit that I have received. I simply trust God, in Christ Jesus.

And, yes, as a born again believer - we Are to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will want to do God's Will in our lives. "In all our ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths."

We Also have satan who's still alive and well on this planet and wants to side-track us Away from God's Word and His plan.

Yesterday in Sunday School we were talking about how easy it can be to get side-tracked away From God's Word. The inner struggle at times. Lots of times. And that we Do have the Holy Spirit indwelling us -- as born again believers to help us be focused.
