I think it helps when you are essentially not looking. Lightning generally doesn't strike when you're looking for it. It just happens.
Secondly, I think you'll know, when you're not asking this kind of question. In other words, I think you'll just know. Sorry if that sounds like someone's mom or grandma...but that's been my personal experience, so that's what I can share.
I know that might not seem very helpful or encouraging...but I think it actually is!!!

I'm a happily married woman of 9 years since July My now hubby and I prayed a lot together in the time before we KNEW we were to be together. Both of us got this peace about it the one time we prayed. It was such an awesome feeling! It was almost like God has this huge sign pointing to him and to me for him
like s.i.e said it's a "you'll know" like God says "I have this secret" and He whispers "You are going to be with this person for the rest of your life."

Thank you for your responses. I am personally not looking for my soul mate right now. I was just asking a general question as to how do you even know if it is your soul mate that you do marry?.
Again, I know that God has perfect timing for everything, but I want to know what YOUR thought is on the idea of how you know it is your soul mate, what makes you believe that you guys belong together?
I am still learning a lot in the Christian world, so I have a lot of questions, sorry.
