After reading Dreamer's post about how she met her husband, I was inspired to write about how I met my future husband to be! So thank you for the inspiration Dreamer!

It was the summer of 2003 and a guy I was dating just broke up with me. I was sad about it, but I was also praying that he would break up with me because I knew he wasn't the "one."

My family had planned to go on a trip to Jerusalem, and other countries as well. But it was in the Holy Land that my prayer took place. I was feel hurt after the break-up and I was feeling like a fool. I continuously kept seeking after a husband without asking God who it was. I was just sick of that lifestyle! I wanted God to show me who my husband was.

So, the second day or so, we went to the West Wall, or the Wailing Wall.
If you want to find out more information about the West Wall then you can search for "West Wall" on google.

Anyway...my cousin went there before she conceived her second child, and she put a note into the wall [which many people do], asking God for a daughter. Lo and behold, she had a daughter! So I thought to myself, "I should put a note too!"

I usually don't believe in those things, they are very silly to me...but I did it anyway. When I went to the wall, I only prayed for a husband. I was so hurt that I asked God to show me who my husband was within that summer. I feel silly about that now, because I shouldn't have put God in a box. Anyway...I did it!

When I came back from my family trip, I was curious to learn more about my culture and I wanted to talk to people from the same ethnicity. So, I just searched for random profiles and emailed people. One day while I was on MSN, I saw that one of the people that I had emailed was online. So I just said hello to him and introduced myself.

We spoke for a little bit. But the strangest things happened to me. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and told me that the guy I was speaking to was my husband. My heart was overflowing with love...I had never felt this before in my life! I didn't even think about our different situations.

The next day I sent him an email saying how great it was talking to him. It was so hard to mask my emotions. Later I found out that he also felt strange talking to me because he felt as if he had known me for years. I eventually told him about my prayer at the West Wall. He also told me that two weeks prior, he had prayed to God asking Him to send him his future wife!

I was so happy! He felt the same way I did! We ended up taking our friendship to the next level. We started a beautiful courtship. The only problem was that we were in two different countries! But only God knows why He did it that way!

We are now geographically together and have been together for 3 years! He is the greatest blessing in my life! We went through countless obstacles during our relationship, but the MOST important factor that made our relationship last was GOD! Our foundation was God! If it weren't for Him, we would not be together today!

I just wanted to share this with you all! For those who are still waiting for a future husband or wife, just be patient and pray! God will answer your prayers in ways you cannot even image!

Blessings,

God bless you. :rainbow: :rose:

Monkeys, I'm glad you shared your story. And though you say you put God in a box, He certainly didn't stay there! Wow. :omg: God works in wondrous ways!

I think that this was probably the sweetest story I have ever heard. I think I said "aww" a few times.

This story is such a blessing. It makes me willing to wait on God. He can write the most beautiful love stories. He is the best love story there is. Wow, to know that God has His hand in love just amazes me... Oh, God is SO good!

Dear Sister RoseWolf,
