As requested/suggested by Patti4Jesus, here is how I knew I was called to be a missionary at the age of 6, specifically to Africa....

My mom had placed my sister and I in private school from the beginning. We were also always at Church when the doors were opened. I was surrounded by the teaching of prayer and praising God. When I was 6 years old and in the first grade, My teacher Ms. Witt was teaching us about coming to God for direction and what it meant to pray. She set up a room to the side for us, where we could go in and pray to God about what we were to do with our lives and where did we need to start. She had told us that we may not know until we get older, but that we needed to start praying about our lives and ask God to use us. I remember when I walked into that room I felt different. I prayed and prayed. I was in there for like 20 minutes (I think). When I came out the first thing I said was I want to be a missionary to Africa. I didnt even give Ms Witt a chance to say anything. I then began to cry because all I kept thinking about was Africa. The cry was not a sad cry, but it was a deep anguish for the people of Africa. As soon as my mom came to get me (she worked at the school as a Teachers Aid) I told her what had happened, and she started crying cause she was scared for me. To this day I still have kept that dream near and dear to my heart, however, I have gotten off the path and have since returned back to the loving arms of my Heavenly Father. The dream is still burning in my heart and I try to read all I can about Africa. One of these days God will use me and I can not wait!!

God Bless!

PS- Dont ever tell a young child that they do not know what they want to do with their life because they are too young! Look in 1 Timothy (will get scriptures later, I cant remember the verse) God speaks to all, old and young!

1 Timothy 4:12

That's a scripture I live by. I know what you mean about having a revelation of what you mission is even at a young age. This to shall come to pass for you. Love you and keep the faith.

Wow! That is powerful. How fortunate you are to have heard from God at such a young age. It is so awesome to me because I didn't even know you could have a personal relationship with Jesus until about 5 years ago. Thank you so much for sharing this. I know that this was planted into your heart for a reason and it will come to pass in His perfect timing.

God Bless

Thank you Patti. It really is all in God's hands now! I know that He will use me, but first I need Him to help fix what is broken in me. Then and only then will God be able to use me mightly!!

Thanks for sharing your testimony. God has a plan for your life. Even though it has not come to pass as you wanted. It might be the Lord just wants you to be praying for them. He has placed a burden for them on your heart that you have not let go of. So continue to pray for them.

Also it is good to share with others your testimony, because alot of people don't realise that the Lord speaks to children. He speaks to my children and I feel blessed that they hear Him.

My main verse for these people is Lamentations 2:19 NIV

" Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street."

I am still trying to seek as to why God laid this verse on my heart one night, when I was praying for Africa! We shall see!

God Bless you
