Hebrews 6 tells not to stay at the foot of the cross but to move on and grow to maturity.
I have heard this preacher,Jimmy Swaggart, who means well im sure. But tells people to stay at the cross.
If a person just stays there kneeling at the cross after being washed,he will never grow.. You must move out or become stagnant. And eventually wither.

My opinion

As Yshua has left the sins He bore for us at the cross we too must leave our old ways there..
For He is not Here He is risen.. after His crucifixion He too walked around in the flesh.. for he told the woman do not touch me yet for I still have to go to the Father...

I'm it too sure why He told the woman that.. I must ponder that with YH..

But we r too walk in the Truth n spirit n not the Lies we walked in before...

Idk if it makes sense to you what I am saying...

We must always remember the cross what was done..
I think many wanna think that it was only to save us but Also it was Yeshua worshipping the Father Peefectly showing how much Love and Trust and Faithfulness He has in the Father....

Idk...

Luke 9:23; And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

1Cor 15:31; I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Matt 10:38; "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

1Cor 1:18; For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Php 3:18; For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ,

Luk 9:23 Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.

Where can I find my cross?
My cross is the same cross Jesus died on!

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I died on the same cross as Jesus! I am dead and Jesus now is my life but I was also raised up together with him in heavenly places!

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

This is my cross and I must bear it, and believe it.

If I don't bear my cross then I am not worthy of him.

Mat 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

What is that cross you bear daily?

What is that cross you bear daily?
Life life is my cross at this point.. children not wanting to do anything with me because of parent alienation mostly..the pain I have that surges through my body day in n day out... watching the one I love suffering.. watching my Son the only one who has built a relationship with me what him go through with his son what I went through with him n his brother n sister..

N yet through all this I have a peace and joy which are no words to explain..

This gives me the time to spend as much time as I want or maybe a better word for it is need to spend with Abba...

The Mercy He has shown me is beyond measures of me being deserving of it..

Because it was my actions that brought on most of this pain I endure.. yet which is nothing compared to the Pain n Suffering our Messiah received for no fault of His own..

I believe He is preparing me to Testify n it's so not gonna b about me...

The cross that I bear daily is.......

Luk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

"let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily" Deny myself what?

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:

I agree and believe that I died on the cross with Christ, yet I am alive, but it is not I who is alive but Christ in me!

Jesus said, "and follow me" Follow him where?

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Where is Jesus right now? He is sitting in heavenly places, which is exactly where we are in Him.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

We know that Flesh and blood can not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

All born-again believers died with Christ on his cross, which is also our cross. The only reason why we are still alive is because the Spirit of God is giving life to our physical bodies!

How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I take counsel in my soul
and have sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;
light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”
lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.
