How many years was it between The Book of Malachi and the writings of Matthew and when did you study to see who Kept The Word of GOD active

Did you search on your own pace, once you got saved and start reading the bible. Where you curious who kept the word of God going until Jesus Arrived and what was the best source they had to keep the WORD of GOD alive in The peoples mind. The people did not have personal bibles, they could not afford one an "Old Testament text" and if they did most could not read or write. So did you ever wonder who where the power house. or did you ask a question put to a religious leader and they gave you the whole story. or Did you buy or went to the public library and read a Copy "The Antiquities of the Jews by, Flavius Josephus" and did you read it all. did you enjoy it.

Much happened during this period that affects our understanding of the New Testament, so it is important to be familiar with at least the major events that occurred in this intertestamental period."
How many-years ago did you read about this history it has been as a whole about 40 or more for me.

And after then just little reminders. For concerning my Library, I hardly even touch anything in it for over 5 years now. the stuffs old

I am too old now, to even care. I have did my digging when I was young and strong! Spend days and nights without sleeping, studying The Word of GOD and having Studying Parties on the floor at Home with friends digging it out! until 3 to 4 o'clock in the mornings.

This is my era is how I grew up in, as a black boy in the city of Detroit where Many times the Management had always told me if only you was white.
yea today they laugh at my sad songs ,my children have no idea what I had to go through because the color of my skin and people would call you any thing and there was no law to protect you, But the Law of GOD, your mother and your aunts and Grandmothers and neighbors old women, calling on Jesus, on your behave in the hood and not in the churches but the Hood. and we song these songs in High schools when they allowed the High schoolers to sing The Gospel in High school.

These are high schoolers. in Detroit Michigan, and this is what we did, we song in the choir and the chorus in High school. For these rooms were Not the Church! And we were consider dumb and Ignorant and did not know any better, Now it is a "Outlawed" to sing like this In Our "Black High Schools" we song like this allover Detroit in every high school!

Concerts, free of Charge in every High School Auditoriums allover Detroit Michigan, The neighborhoods would come out and the CHURCH did not like it!
And they the Institutionalize church made sure the Gospel High School Choirs and CHORUS Were SHUT DOWN!

The people want rap and pop! and the offering plates, Cadillac And Bugatti's!

In a little while people like me will be dead and gone, and they will not have to hear about our history "How God has brought us Through" all of us who are his, The white the Black, the yellow, the red, the Olive, the tan, for the devil know who we are and we all have suffered and went through much pain., By the hands of The beast, that is called man.

Today this is nothing But Junk to the ears of the un Anointed of God, But his was all we had! High Schoolers, School Choirs and Chorus

We were high schoolers and it was the best we had, when we song those songs and those "Born from above" Music teachers. and when my French Music teacher heard me sing by accident, while she was outside of the Room, she came in and ask me to Sing this song, because she had brought in a out sider to sing, and when I star singings that song The French teacher start crying and tears were just falling down her face and she could not stop. and I did not know why. for I had not the Been Born again yet until man-years later.

Lord I hope my own children come to the Light and Be filled with the Spiritual of the LIVING GOD, because their mother is not, neither were her parents, I Have told them many times if you only KNEW, What is flowing in my SOUL!

We used to have so much fun and the pastors and the churches tried so much to shut us down. but the congregation really enjoyed us, but the pastors nothing but dictates and Lord over the flocks and they had the people too scared to speak up and let us sing. But when, we cut it loose they couldn't stop us.

And we could preach too, and not like these so called preacher today, We preach pure Bible. and people and children would get saved while we were preaching and we didn't stop, we kept right on Preaching, Nothing but quoting the Old Testament Stories or The New Testament.sounding like music, none of this Politics and giving money. and talking about healing we Preach the very word of GOD. By heart. and the demons would run! talking about Power in the Place, sometimes they would Vomit those demons out! add run.and we would keep on preaching "Preach the Devil out of the people no need to lay our hands on them ,we would Just preach, the Adulterous demons out and would preach these Fornicating demons out! You could see the people jump! and they would not even know what just happen to them! Just Preach and and Preach hard. Preach the devil right out of People!

I don't have no idea what these preachers are doing today! The demons in people are not afraid of the preaching these Preachers are doing today! we would preach and those unclean demons would jump out and run! and when you get through the whole church would feel Spiritual clean! Like a fresh rain had blew through! For they have been wash By the unadulterated WORD of GOD by ANOINTED VESSELS, Preaching the WORD of GOD!

Now that is how it was when I was young preaching the WORD of GOD! Visiting Churches and Cleaning that church out! Power! cleaning house, and that is what we did,That is what Preaching is all about ,Washing the Children Of God after all week they have been out in the WORLd, and Now it is time to wash, The Preacher has been with God all week Filling Up and being Sanctified ByThe Holy living and being Filled up with The Word of GOD until he is About to Burs.t Then Sunday Morning he Explodes! "Dynamite'! Pure Burning LIGHT!

And that was Preaching and that is what we understood it to be!

This stuff today is not Preaching this stuff is nothing But Pure Junk! No Cleansing power, we would Preach the Homo out of the man and the Lesbian out of the woman" and we knew exactly what we were doing being Guided By "The Holy Ghost" and on Friday nights we had Testimony services, They would confess what had happen to them. That The demons had come out! this stuff in the church today is nothing but junk, no power what so ever and they have no idea what real preaching is and was about and what it did!

Every Sunday morning you had to wash them again> for all week they had been at work and been around friends and unclean neighbors and relatives, and you knew you had work cut out for you, You set their demons up, and work your way in into the souls in the congregations and At the right moment you home in and Fire the Missile and Swing the Sword of GOD and not let up! and make the kill! You Grab that sword with both hands and look that demon straight in the eye Right there from the Podium and do not back down! Even from the evil eye, the people are giving you, You Preach the hell right out of them!

I remember when I first started preaching what a force it was standing on that Podium a great evil force! Like a very heavy Sphere that was pressing against YOU and blocking The WORD of God that was coming out of you, You could say anything, it would flow But the WORD OF GOD SOME FORCE WAS TRYING TO BLOCKI IT IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM.
But just like lifting weights I got Strong and then Stronger, I kept prayed up and read up and the prayers of The old mothers in the church!~ then the day CAME I commanded that Podium and the demons hated to see me coming! I now knew what, I was doing. I got to be a skilled Warrior in the Pulpit! and knew how to Mount the Podium! and observe and evaluate the "Congregation" and I LEARN how to pick out the Friendly's, and knew where the Strong holds I could pick out and were in the Pews, and I knew how to swing that sword and Look them right in their eyes and back not down!

I had become
A skilled Orator! trained By GOD!

…7But the LORD told me: “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ For to everyone I send you, you must go, and all that I command you, you must speak. 8Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the LORD. 9Then the LORD reached out His hand, touched my mouth, and said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth


And I would say with power, Lord, Talk to me!

My mother and aunt would say <Boy you can go, My Aunt: Chris they do not like you they are Jealousy of You and you do not see it! You are to Powerful and they are scared of you! You are Bold and powerful ,Those preacher and pastors! and some PASTOR where on GOD side , and they would say as soon as You Mount that Podium the Power of God is on you before you even Speak, And Many Times they Where strangers!

Now that is how it was in the 70'S AND THE 80'S Preachers Where Power Houses! We just Preached Like God wanted us too! We did not have to lay hands on no one ! people got healed and demons ran! and people got saved on the spot , men women and children and when the Holy Ghost came on them, We did not stop but kept on Preaching! the people would be crying and running and thanking GOD!! men women and children! and a lot of pastors after wards would get mad! because we have turn their church upside down!~

back then a member could give a program and invite a visiting Mimster or pastor to Preach and I have done revivals preaching for 5 DAYS STRAIGHT

Today many do not know the institutional church is almost completely dead and No Spiritual Life in it , as in the Old Testament the lord has left the house! So was in the old so will be in the new,, "Types and shadows" of that is to be.
The gentile's have almost Completely taken it over.

The dark days are coming. and how dark it will be.

I would have loved to be in those studies on the floor digging and plowing. You have a great testimony and witness. I often wish i had started at a younger age. I remember the Spirit dealing with me and calling me back then. But turned a deaf ear.
BUT!!!! Getting back to original post and question.....
The only source i knew of to learn of the "dark ages" was Josephus telling about the Maccabees.
