Opinion on once saved always saved

How to be sure He is real…

If you know 100% that he is real, you should never have any doubt! If you have asked Him to save you and you have repented of your sins and you believe He is God and He rose from the dead, that He suffered abuse and went through so much for us to live; then you will want to worship and praise His Holy Name. You don’t have to worry about losing salvation if you know this is true because you will constantly be on fire for GOD. You will try to act like Him. You would never have a doubt. God continues to show his wonderful amazing works every single day. Some people realize that He is real and don’t really care. Others long to be with Him and do everything they can to spread His Word. A couple nights ago a very controversial issue came up in the chat room. If you are saved will you always be saved, no matter what? I am not claiming to have the answer, although I do have a strong opinion. I am not going to say yes you are always saved nor will I say that you can lose your salvation. However, I do want to share some things with you that may help you to form your own opinion.

“You will seek Me, inquire for and require Me [As valid necessity] and find Me; when you search for me with all your heart, I will be found by you says the Lord.” -Jeremiah 29: 13-14

“For everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” -Matthew 7: 8

“All who seek the Lord will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.” -Psalm 22:26

“The person who has my commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me, and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by my Father. And I [too] will love him and will show Myself to him. I will let Myself be clearly seen by Him and make Myself real to him.” John 14:21

What is said in Bible about DOUBT
“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no GOD” Psalm 14:1

“A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways” James 1:8

No sin will enter heaven. Therefore, if you are unstable and sin and then you can not enter the Kingdom of GOD.

“GOD spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.” 2 Peter 2:4


How shall we escape [hell], if we neglect so great salvation…” Hebrews 2:3

So just remember that GOD has so much in store for those who believe and surrender all to live for him. You have to realize that you have to give up the sinful worldly things you are used to and live for Him!

“THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND SONG, AND HE IS BECOME MY SALVATION: HE IS MY GOD, AND I WILL PREPARE HIM AN HABITATION; MY FATHER’S GOD, AND I WILL EXALT HIM.” Exodus 15:2

I have no doubt about God.

People tend to doubt themselves and their understanding and well they should.

Trust In God with all your heart. He saves us and we can not do it without him and he does it for us all we should do is believe and turn away from sin, death and cursing. Choose life and Blessing.

I read your title to this thread, no need to change it. I understand completely what you are conveying, sister.

Please read and meditate on James 3:17-18, But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all PURE; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

Hello, Dear Friends.

This is my 1st post since joining the forum late last night.

We all need to be encouraged in the knowledge that the FATHER knows everything about us before we are even born. As I once heard a Pastor put it, HE knows about our past before we even have one.

HE knows everything about us and HE loved us enough to send HIS Son anyway. HE knows who will get saved and who won't. JESUS knew Judas would betray HIM and yet, HE chose HIM as a disciple anyway.

We should take comfort in the knowledge that we serve a GOD Who knows us better than we know ourselves. When we are saved (Romans 10.9-10), we are immediately redeemed from a sinful condition, but there are still habits that the LORD has to break in our lives as HE transforms us into HIS image and likeness. Our struggle to overcome ungodly habits does not negate our salvation.

Our sinlessness is not a result of our behavior, it is a result of HIS all-encompassing mercy and grace. So, we must allow ourselves to be continually shaped by the power of HIS Word and the power of HIS HOLY SPIRIT to overcome that things in our lives that don't glorify HIM.

We repent one time unto salvation (being born again). But the process of transformation continues as long as we are on earth. The ongoing practice of repentance is what allows the LORD to change us. For instance, if we find something in our lives that we know to be inconsistent with what GOD'S Word says, we have to repent of that. The bad habits, thought patterns, etc., that we acquire before we are born again are already taken into account by GOD. HE knows exactly what it will take to change us...we have to trust HIM and yield to that through repentance.

When all is said and done, we cannot seek perfection as the world seeks perfection. But we must be in a continual state of being perfected by HIM.

I think you take that out of context. God will never allow sin in Heaven! He hates sin. He says that many times.

Heather-Anne that is exactly right. How can we expect to go to Heaven if we are still sinful. When God see's you when you sin (until you repent) you look like everyone else that still have not turned to HIM. So you would be turned away rather than accepted into the Kingdom of GOD!
