Husband with Such A Bad Problem

Hello friends.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years. He has been addicted to painkillers for that entire time. My son was diagnosed with leukemia on january 15 of this year, and my husband has not worked one day since, he has lived off of the very very small check that we get for my babies disability that i find disgusting of him to do.

My son, my mother and i have to travel to memphis tn, to st. judes every month and a half, and we have to travel to the St. jude affiliate every week, which is two and a halk hours from home. My husband went behind our backs while i was gone to memphis the second trip for 4 weeks and lied about coming to see us there, and was able to con 2000 dollars from people, which he spent in drugs:secret:

On top of this, he will sell our things while we are gone, and i am about to lose my mind dealing with this on top of taking care of our son!

The only, only reason i stay is because Gavin is sick and LOVES his dad and i don't want to stress him anymore than he already has to vbe!

Please help me with advice~!

I understand the pain you are in. The only thing that you need to do is have faith that Jesus is right beside you. He is the only One who can help you in these times. If you seek friends or men and women for sharing, you will not get anything except heaps of sympathies and 'sorries'. But if you go before the Father, kneel down and cry out your heart to Him, He will touch your heart and heal your wounded soul. For He will in no wise cast out those who come to Him. Commit your husband and your son into the hand of the Father, for He loves you and cares for you. Believe every word written in the Bible, for they are true and living. Every promise of the Bible must come to pass. Believe in His every word and grow in Spirit and in His love. Be strong and of good courage. You belong to Him, He has called you by your name and you are His. Isaiah 43:1.

Kyval, my heart goes out to you in your troubles. Just as levi so aptly described, Jesus has you written on his heart...He's the one who knows exactly what to do. I wish there was something I could do. I live in Tennessee if you would like to contact me. I live about an hour and 1/2 from Memphis.

"Dear God, please bless this young lady and her son beyond human belief. Please send the Holy Spirit to direct kyval and give her all kinds of wisdom and direction. Bless her financially, spiritually, and physically. Heal her son, Lord. Please let Your Holy Spirit show Kyval's husband what he is doing wrong. Please let her husband's will be drawn to Yours, and give him the will and motivation to stop stealing and abusing drugs. Bring him to his knees so he and his wife can pray together for the little one. Bring them together in your way and in your time. If this man is to leave for now, then let him leave! Protect this lady and her child, I pray in Jesus name, Amen."

OP I hope you don't take things the wrong way but are you believing for healing and finances? If not its time to start doing that. Communion is incredibly powerful. Let's get your son healed the Bible way! I know money is tight so if you'd like, pm your address and I'll send you your own copies so you can start enjoying some big time blessings from the Lord. A lot of folks do not treat the Lord's things with respect nor do they value them. I can't tell you how much Communion and Tithing has changed my life! These aren't magic tricks. But they work just like the Lord says they do when you get the revelation in the Word. There's so much in the Word about these things. Let me know. The Robster is always looking to help a brother or sister out and help them get blessed just like I was! I'll bring the tapes and you just bring the faith. :wink:

Hello Robster, I DO believe that tithing and offering does bless you from the LORD! I agree with you 100 percent. I hate to sound like things are soo bad, with my husband yes they are, but but but.... My son is doing great!!! I have a wonderful family, we have the things we need, and I AM SAVED!!! Life is very good, I just really need a husband that is dependable, supportive, trustorthy, honest and will provide for his family instead of take away from it, that is the bad part. But, otherwise life is great!!!

On reading about your problem I felt very moved as I know only to well the pain of watching a Loved one with an addiction.
I cannot offer advice but hopefully I can provide encouragement in your time of need.
I watched my Father ruin his life with addiction, the end result total alienation from the whole family,but in his darkess hour he found the salvation of God and became the most amazing man I have ever known.
A man I was proud to call my Dad . . . . .
Sadly he was taken by Cancer a few years back, but his work continues on.
I believe that some people have to reach their ultimate low before they knock on the door of the Lord for salvation, myself and my Father included.
Out of the darkness of addiction can come the miracle of Our Lords Salvation.
The power of prayer is awesome ,keep praying for your husbands salvation.

Robster, sister Kyval is hurting over a situation with her sick child and a husband with an addiction that causes him to ignore his child, his wife and to spend all the finances on himself. I think to sum it up as a tithing lesson is not speaking from the heart. Please think of how you would feel in her place.
